Basically I started this mission, got to the part where I had to talk to the Guardian and use him to go to the past. At which point right after it finished loading I simply pushed X to watch a movie with some of my family.
I get back, log on and it's completed. Now I figure the thing completed before the 15ish minutes or so that it kicks you for being afk (simply closing the game doesn't actually log you out I guess). I think the only part left was to defend the Enterprise which would mean it would kill the NPCs since it can't die itself. I'm not sure if there was more to it.
