Pet Targ - Cryptic Point Refund Please

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I'd like a refund on my Cryptc points I used on a Klingon Pet Targ.

The reason is I expected something along the lines of what we face during Federation missions against Klingons. What I got instead is a tiny little thing that looks no more ferocious than a kitten, that could easily be mistaken for Wilbur the Pig from Charlotte's Web.

Not trying to be a smart alec...I promise. It's just that if it's going to be a Klingon Pet, then it should be as tall as my waist, nearly as long as I am tall, covered in thick mangy hair and scales and spikes, have fangs and tusks, and drool alot. If I could use him in battle that would be a definite plus.

In any event, I hope you understand and will tell me what I need to do.

Thank You

Arnold the Pig was from Green Acres. Wilbur was the name of the pig in Charlotte's Web.:)

What do you expect. You bought a Pig!

It wasn't that many points, so keep it and don't argue.

I agree that the Pet Targ should be able to attack foes in battle, but then we must remember that it is a domesticated targ, not a war targ.

You're thinking of the wrong Klingon pet. What you described was the monster dog from STIII. The targs actually ARE pigs with fur. They're so cute and cuddly...I want to pet it and hug it and name it George. Dammit, now I have to go out and buy the blasted thing.

A favored pet of Klingons, this fierce companion will accompany your captain anywhere you go! This is a summonable, non-combat pet. Note: Only Klingon Empire characters may use a Pet Targ.

It was clear before you purchased the Targ that it is non-combat.

Also, Cryptic is not known for having large vanity pets.

No need to quote to me something I read before I made the purchase. Combat was a wish. I knew it was non-combat. Guess I should've been a little clearer.

Posting a request for a refund on the forums is not going to get you a refund. This is a billing issue you need to take it up with billing.

If you want to post that you are upset about this then do it but don't ask for a refund because your upset this isn't billing and the players can't in anyway help you out in this matter.

The mods will only refer you to billing.

IF you read the item description then why are you QQing? Did you not understand what the description said? It is pretty clear cut.

So that's what the IDEAL STO customer sounds like.

    I had wondered.

What's worse is the Targ does NOTHING. It's just cosmetic. Unlike the tribble.

In the description it also said that it was a Targ pup, not an adult. It is super cheap and I like it. For the future you should really do your research more before buying, especially if money is that tight.

Oh! I thought he would be a Klingon health buff like the regular tribbles?

He should probably supply the same buffs as the purchasable tribble especially if you had to pay for him.

I hope they fix this for you.

I wouldn't so much ask for a refund so much as request the upgrade which will help all Klingons.

I use my Tribbles every time I fight. (Damage Buff and Heal)

The fact that it says Targ Pup was why I didn't get one, it's a little small for my taste. Didn't Cryptic mention something about maybe getting the Monster Dog as a pet?

    Two things I want.

1: Targ Handler ability for Tactical Captains that you unlock as a skill.

    2. Toby the Targ for my Ready Room (giggle)

I think it also needs to be mentioned that originally, in the C-Store it was listed as "Targ Pup"... meaning it's a baby targ.

That's what it was listed as when I got mine for free. (Came with my copy of STO)
