So, my suggestion is that Cryptic releases a pack to the C-store (or for free, if they are that generous) that includes several bridges that are as accurate as possible to the film/show counterparts including size/colour/console colour and chair arrangement. My idea for the first pack was one with a Sovy/Galaxy/Defiant/Intrepid version.

Defiant class bridge:

Intrepid class bridge:

(note: there are bridges in game that slightly resemble the ones above but several things are off, the in game Sovereign bridge is like a stadium and has wrong wall textures. All of these bridges in game have improper lighting and console colours. And the missing chairs are a given.)
During the first new Klingon season 2 episode, you board a ship that has a Sovereign bridge that is very close to the actual Sovereign bridge. The wall textures and floor lights are properly done however the size is still off...this bridge is not useable on player ships and is pretty much new. I think using this bridge would be a good starting point to getting an accurate Sovereign class bridge. I am sure im not the first to come up with this idea, but I do think that these bridges deserve to be done justice and be properly represented in game. And a second pack could include more TOS styled bridges and Ambassador/Nebula bridges)

Cryptic claims that the additional space is needed for NPC pathing, with an eye to future features.
So we are stuck with bridges the size of basketball courts.
