Is you Card maxed out? If not, your best bet would be to call the Card company to find out what is the issue. Every time a transaction is attempted or completed they recieve a code that tells them what if anything went wrong.
I too am getting declined when I try to use a visa card to buy cryptic points...I have had a ticket out on this for a week now and no one can give me a good reason why it is declined...thier billing department clearly is screwed up.
Things like this are what drive people to leave the game for good.
I live in the U.S. so they can not say it's that reason.

Oh, come on... That's just you trying to lay an "If you don't fix this, I'm gonna..." line on Cryptic. We're talking about cryptic points here. There's nothing you can buy with them that gives any sort of advantage in the game, so we're dealing with strictly optional material. If the issue was with actual billing for subscription, then you would have a valid gripe.
The issue has been reported. Let Cryptic look into it. And if they come back and tell you to dal with your CC company about it, that means you need to deal with your CC company.
yeah, I am waiting for a response from Cryptic about this, I did the Ticket thing already, sent two in fact since I couldn't even add another credit card to the payment method (it keeps saying my payment method is declined even though I was just adding CC info lol)
oh well, I guess I gotta wait for my STO bling (when you live in a third world country, you get used to waiting ehehehe)
I also get declined anymore and I have well over $20k left on my card. Something seems wrong with the processing system. I assumed it was because I tried to make the purchased from my IP in Japan and my card was a US bank card and that Cryptic undated it security system the past month. However since others are trouble it seems that may not be the case. I had to use my Paypal account to add 10k points to my account.
ugh, so its not just me that is having this problem yeah, hmmmmm, shouldn't cryptic get on with fixing it, or at least answering my ticket or something? I guess it just takes a while to get to everyones problem yeah?
Our Billing Department is working on getting to your tickets as swiftly as they can. In the mean time, please double check your billing information. Often times when people tell us they're getting declined credit cards it turns out that the problem lies in a typo, or that a piece of information (Like the billing zip code) is entered wrong or incorrect.
I personally don't think its a billing typo since my CC info is saved into the My Account webpage and its the same CC that I use for the monthly sub (and I get billed just fine every month)
no worries, I can wait, just a shame I miss out on the 4th july sale
For more efficient help with credit card issues: there is a telephone number printed on the back of your card. Call them. Tell them what the problem is. It is extremely likely that they can immediately explain what is happening, and possibly even fix it. As long as you enter your credit card number correctly, and the system has not completely failed on Cryptic's end, your card provider has complete records of what happened (they actually have more information than Cryptic do and can help you solve a lot more problems).
They may tell you that they have no record of the transaction - in that case you do need to talk to Cryptic. But that doesn't happen often. If you get a "was declined" error message, then your card provider is almost certainly able to explain why, since that one means the transaction failed on the card provider's end.
Debit cards are trickier; you can try the same thing, but there is less guarantee of them being able to help you. Nonetheless, it's worth a shot.
(This works for any credit card transaction you make with any merchant, and is almost always faster than talking to the merchant, because your credit card company has a lot more specialist knowledge and motivation here)
yeah, I did try the call center and they have not received any data from STO ehehehehe no delines, no transactions, no nothing
I deleted my card data here and had the call center walk me thru filling in "new payment method"
Got declined again (you guys should've heard the disbelief over the phone... was funny) and still no data coming in to my CC

Cute. Unless you typed the card number itself wrong, the issue's probably with the transaction processing company then. Make sure you have a billing ticket (not a bug or tech support ticket) and that it includes that piece of information, so that Cryptic know they need to follow this one up with their processing company.

hmmm, I tried out another CC and it gave me the same message, could it be cause I dont live in USA or europe?
I live out in Indonesia, could that be it?

Thanks for the advice Miiru!
