Why is everyone so eager to dole out money to a C-store for even the slightest of improvements. Can't we just request things we'd like to see that our subscription payments would cover?

If there's one thing more disturbing than people not fighting back against corporations that are trying to TRIBBLE them, it's the people who actually WANT the corporations to TRIBBLE them

If i could deactivate the Cryptic Made music (especialy that on guy's whining)

and be able to buy the Orgininal Soundtracks from Star Trek per C-Store

...i think i would do so.

Because STO is seriously effing up my Last.fm account: http://www.lastfm.de/user/Z3R0B4NG

and no i do not want made up music, i want the original Trek Music, ever Played a Star Wars game without the Imperial March??? That just completely kills the atmosphere.

/agree, in this case it's a nice suggestion that wouldn't make any sense in the c-store. New music would be appreciated but it should be added in the game for free. :)

    And:

Priority-List (at least how it should be)
Game Content > Bugfixing > New C Store Items >>>>>> New Music in the C-Store

There should be NO new music in the C-Store

What Cryptic should do is flesh out the existing soundtracks in the game with a little more variety and properly define them in locations.

I.E when exploring a planet i would like to hear a soothing uppity planetary music rather than "danger lurking" type music.

That sounds a little creepy the way you worded that...

I was sick of the original music before closed beta ended... since then I've been running random soundtracks in itunes. Most recent: Modern Warfare 2's.

    But, I digress.

As others have stated, we shouldn't be paying for basic content. Music counts as basic content. It should be added and updated as part of what we already paid for. (Most of the other c-store items should be unlockable by ingame quests or acolades too, but thats another story.)

If new music is base content, why can`t i remember any game adding new music? Of course, if there are new maps there must be new atmosphere-music etc. But i want just 8-10 high quality star trek songs and i`m willing to pay for it the same way i did, when i bought the soundtrack to star trek movie - there is no difference for me.

If you don't like the in-game music you can always turn it off...and run i-Tunes (or whatever music program you use) in the background. That's what I do. And, no. There's already too much clogging the C-Store as it is.

Slight problem though, you don't get music based on setting and mood of an area.

That feature doesn't work that well in STO anyway. When you're in space there are like only two musical queues, for instance. It doesn't sequence itself nearly as well as even something ancient like the original Wing Commander, for instance.

Totally agree. This game is nothing more than constant money grabs, at the moment.

No. This is silly. Just mute the in-game music and play your own in the background.

I've found from going through STO's music files that it has some excellent tracks in it, the problem is that these good tracks aren't getting played enough. A few of the songs i didn't remember hearing at all but i can practically listen to the entire 'whiney man with a harpsichord' song in my head as i've heard it so often.

I think they need to diversify the music they already have so we don't end up hearing the same few songs all the time before they start thinking about getting us more music that we might also end up only hearing a couple tracks from anyways.
