When the LTS was first offered before Open beta, i refereed 3 friends. They haven't even heard of the game, but i got 3 folks to buy the game and ALL get LTS. I was a bit annoyed when the referral program came out and that referrals weren't retroactive (which i totally understand, but still upset me).
That being said, I never once complained that i wouldn't be able to get 5 more people on top the three i already did, even though it made me grind my teeth a bit. So now that the Galaxy X will be available in the C-store, i will get it and i won't feel the least bit bad about it. I did some work to support the game, and i will support it further with a c-store purchase.
There have been plenty of posts from people in the same boat; referred all their friends before the program, then gets the shaft afterward. Now these folks can get the galaxy-x. but the folks who put in the work, not only get the Galaxy-x for free, but $50 in cryptic points. Most people get to walk away happy, and the unhappy people at least don't have to go empty handed.
Told y'all it will be in the C-Store. I recognized the game the second they pulled that TRIBBLE with the pre-orders and I realized the referral program perks would be no different. What really get's me, though, is how fast they are doing it. I mean, just after 4 months they are selling pre-order items and even less than that for the referrals. Kinda gives you a mental picture of a ship that's about to go under. Not a picture I'd want customers to get.
Remember you get something noone can buy in the c store.
the title of master recruiter.
That can not be taken away from you and actually will differentiate you from all others flying an agt-g.
I salute you for finding 5 guys and con them into sto.
For those who "bought" the ship: I have no mouth and i must laugh, in your face.
Nope, still feel betrayed, I've recruited a total of 9 people to this game since launch, and they will all be cancelling with me. Doing what I can to make this boat go down just a little faster than it already is...

LOL they quit because *they* can get "your" Galaxy too?

Unfortunately by the time they pulled the first ripoff I already had my 5 referals or I would of told them all to run from this game like the plague. I agree they can't seem to come out with real content look at klingons pve is a joke. My opinion is they are are bleeding subs just like they have since launch go into the game it doeasn't feel like any mmo i've ever heard of tried etc. never see huge crowds anywhere like you do with other mmos this should be called titanic online not star trek online.

What the hell? When did they say it would be in the C-Store?
EDIT: Nevermind I found it, and man that is some BS. They need to remove it's cloak before putting it in the C-Store, or just leave it on for those that bought all the game subs.
Gotta love all the people throwing tantrums just because everyone has access to something instead of the 'elite few' with too much money on their hands.
After the preorder fiasco, I find it amazing anyone actually expected this wouldnt happen.

STO has lost you, but i gained me and my brethren who where ****ed of about being shafted with the whole "your earlier referrals do not count." thing.
STO may have lost your fake, 60 day game time card friends but it retains us, who were are paying customers and continue to be paying customers if a basic trust relationship is build.
Putting the gal x up in the c store helps this whole trust process.
Also: having us all (undefined number, but surely more than you and your imaginary friends) stay is more important than keeping you and your non existent friends happy.

By recruiting, you mean paying for their game and accounts so that you can claim a reward that has no intrinsic value, and in fact is more of a lease of the use of digital bandwidth, as well as a lease on a specific set of digital rights? After all, any guy who has run a business successfully (Notice the correct spelling.) would understand that a service is a lease (access to STO) and that further more, any in game transactions are the same as a limited term lease, as once the service is no longer offered, the in game item is no longer available.
So in other words, Cryptic offered you an exclusive lease on the Galaxy-X digital rights through a preferred service. Recruit 5 people, and gain a preferred lease.
By offering to sell said lease on the C-Store, your exclusivity is still maintained as you have not paid for the lease in question.

I always enjoy how anyone who got it must have just opened 5 accounts some of us actually you guessed it recruited 5 people
Unfortuantely I was done with my referals when they pulled the first ripoff why do you think they were done the way they were? early may starts referal process early june announce selling preorder exclusives on cstore
I'm almost sure the people offering MONEY to other players if they let themselves be recruited by them contributed more to the AGT G beeing added to the C-Store as the people who just asked for it.
And it protects the players from themselves. I'm absolutely sure there are a dozen or more people who bought 5 more copies of the game just to geht the Galaxy X. Now no one is tempted to do this anymore.

Even if you did it only for a ship, thank you! We want the players! (I would say need, but no proof.)
And true, you get the nifty title. Though that would be almost bitter sweet if you ask me...
I know the real reason for all this nerdrage is that you won´t be part of a selected few anymore after a while.
My heart bleeds..
Deal with it.
Irony is so funny, I love it
Care to put up another poll Nagus?
Really? * yells to mom to get a cookiee * it works
that's mean...... should we push it?

Heh, I've been waiting (since the recent C-Store update) for my 'Red Squad' title to be put up in the C-Store.
Oh, btw, Nagus, do you already have a C-Store Liberated Borg poll? If so, I guess I need to get my butt over there and vote, eh?

Now, everyone, one serving of pity for this guy!
"aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww........"
Amen to that!
I have already sent a PM to a MOD. Hopefully they read it...
Honestly, all I wanted was the cloak. That is game-changing, and should not be "exclusive" which it never was
