Very simple imrpovement to Caitians

I bought the Caitian playable race, and I have to admit I'm pretty dissapointed in one thing. They need hair. C'mon Cryptic, I know it wouldn't be too hard to give them hair and their species does have it. Look up M'ress, from the original animated series. She has hair. The caitians need hair to add that extra definition of uniqueness to them. Otherwise each Caitian is basically the same with very little to distinguish them from others of the race.

This wouldn't be a hard improvement to make. C'mon cryptic... Do the right thing on this one.. Give them hair!

    Doesnt mean that I've seen that. No need to be rude about it. It still needs to be made into a change. Perhaps the more people that post about it, Cryptic will get the idea and they'll add the hair option as they should have done at the Caitian launch

    sorry i wasnt trying to be rude or anything with that,

    i was simply pointing out that its been brought up by devs in a few of the catian threads already that they are working on the new hair before they add them to the catians.

    and with the way that people were ranting about the catians, if they'd delayed them longer to release them with the new hair, then there would have been uproar


    personally i think they did the better thing here by giving us the race, and telling us why theres no manes or anything for them.

    Look at it this way, if they didn't release them now and waited to do the hair first you wouldn't have the ability to play a Caitian at all.

    The hair will get done, as stated in the quote it's something they're now working on for ALL species as it's a new way of doing hair that looks better so it's all but guaranteed to start trickling in regardless of the Caitians.

    Keep in mind these forums we're ablaze with people demanding Caitians, they were delayed already for various reasons, if they delayed any further the results would have been far worse than the few 'no hair' threads.

    I've only been playing STO for about two weeks now I will freely admit. So I am unaware of anyone demanding Caitians (though it doesnt surprise me, to be honest. One of the best races in the continuity.) I just wished to leave my feedback on what I had purchased. As it is, I'm waiting to play my Caitian anyways.

    Without a character re-customization option to allow someone to change race, I'm stuck with the same race for the tactical officer I have started with. And being up to Captain 2 already, I'm not too inclined to start over again just to have a Caitian tactical officer.

    Its just one of those things that could be improved. I'm certain someone else has mentioned it here somewhere, but the ability to alter a pre-established charater's race or class would be nice, if only to be able to make my Caitian the tactical officer for my account. I don't want to have two or three tactical officers on the same account (except one federation and one klingon.) So I've got my Caitian set up current to be the engineering officer for my account.

    But, should Crytpic ever decided to release a class or race change ability, I will most likely purchase that to swap my "alien" Captain over to a Caitian one instead.
