I thought I would make a thread just for Klingon Vet rewards and the Referral ship. Since these have not been decided yet by Cryptic, perhaps some of our ideas can give them motivation. Feds and Klingons please give your opinion in what you would like to see or have.
Here are my ideas.
100 Day: Costume Piece- Sheathed D'k tahg Dagger that hangs from your belt with fixed blades so they stick out. Give this item color options for the sheath and handle.
http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/D%27k_tahg200 Day: Costume Piece- Kahless' Coat. Make a female version that shows off some cleavage.

Info
http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/K%27toch_classReferral Ship: General Chang's BoP that fires while cloaked. Make it look like the T1 B'Rel and T1 B'Rel Refit. Would be the same size as the T1 but same stats as a T5 BoP. Give it target sub-systems just like a science ship. As for firing while cloaked, give the cloak a similar ability as Jam Sensors but with no timer. Just like Jam Sensors, the higher the Aux you have, the more damage you can do before decloaking. If you're careful and have high Aux, you can stay cloaked.
Please let's keep this on track with the point of this thread. We all know Klingons are lacking PvP, PvE and many other things. That stuff should be posted in

This is a clear, concise request. Rock solid feedback. And I hope the developers are open to your suggestions.
Those ideas are very possible. They are very much in theme with the Klingon story and the Klingon flavor. Your referral reward ... caught me offguard with its ingenuity.
Very clever indeed.
Nice presentation.
They could even give out the already existing trenchcoat I see on Klingon NPCs as an item.
Superchum you are most welcome. It was you that motivated me to start this thread, from a previous Galaxy-X thread.
I sadly couldn't think of any other titles for the other Vet Rewards due to the Accolade using up some of the best titles. I really wish the title Order of the Bat'leth and the medallion for the neck could have been given to the 400 day reward.

I'm glad you posted it. My favorite part is the Referral reward. I was having a really hard time trying to come up with anything cool and fun and powerful for the klingon side. Your idea hits all the right buttons there. For a Klingon fan it's as unique and powerful an idea as the Galaxy X is for a Federation fan. Like I said, that's very clever.
I'd be happy with the 100 day costume piece being a fix to the clipping of sashes with shoulder pads. But that's me...
As for the Day 300 reward. I'd prefer it be the Order of the Bat'leth, but again just me. These are great ideas though.
dstahl posted in the latest engi report thread that they are working on this. And if I remember the post correctly, should have a testable fix soon?
Cool beans, I think I just skimmed that Eng report, I'll have to read it in more detail.
I agree 100%, in fact I think the title Order of the Bat'leth and the badge for it should be a 400 day vet reward. I only left this out because the title Order of the Bat'leth can already be attained in game through the Accolade system. All you have to do is destroy 200 NPC Federation ships.
Thank you for the feedback and suggestions!
Yeah I know about the accolade, but it just doesn't seem to have any meaning as an accolade, maybe because of the retro-active nature of accolades, but I'd love to see it as a vet reward somehow.
But your ideas are honestly perfect, we need something as Klingon vets, I mean in all honesty most Klingon vets deserve more than Fed vets since we've put up with more
Yes I really wish they could change that accolade title to something else. If we got Order of Kahless with a shoulder badge (right arm) at 300 days and Order of the Bat'leth with neck medallion at 400 days I would jump for joy and giggle like a little Klingon schoolgirl.
Haha well I do agree that we have had to put up with a lot more than Feds but I would be more than happy with equal attention.
Cryptic, Why do you have the Klingons???
I just feel like the possibility of never decloaking while firing is a little OP...
Otherwise I'm in full support of all those suggestions and would like to add in a lowbie C-Store item for Klinks that matches the TOS era ship on the fed side (could be done for rommies as well whenever they launch as playable)
DES SNIPER:
The next Season has 8 new episodes just for Klingons as well as a set of missions to go from BG5 to BG10 that are shared by klingons and feds...
Now if they could just join forces on the Gamma Orionis and These missions...that'd be perfect...
Bump and 2 thumbs up from me TrekTheStars.
Very good ideas. See this devs? That´s the way to go.
I don't think eight is enough, but it's a start. I hope that they fill in the gaps throughout all of Season Two to make it a bit more on par with the Federation.
If the Devs see this, they really should implement it!!! I play mostly fed, but I love my klink toons as well and their is no better way to go for rewards than this way!!!
A dev response would be nice.
Wow, that's a VERY well thought out way to balance that ship!
The stats may need to be throttled back a little from T5 to offset the sub-systems targeting... or perhaps give it assigned seats to keep it balanced?
Regardless of balance tweaks, target sub-systems and the Jam Sensors cloak idea are both spot-on with how this ship should be interpreted into STO!
If and when I'm back in a salaried position again, I'd drop $25 worth of C-Points on that bird, no question.

Hope the devs see these ideas, would be great to have them implemented.
OP - are you sure that you're not a vulcan that needs a haircut?

Haha no....just a proud Klingon that has dreadlocks.
