MAJOR Problem with the Galaxy-X

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/7306/agtgalaxy.jpg

So this weekend, I will be hitting my 5th referral as billed. I will also this month, be up to 7 people who were referred -> purchased the game & decided to subscribe for 30 days after their free time was up.

I worked very hard to recruit those people, I spent hours talking up the game and convincing them of the merits, I spent my time in-game to helping and making them feel welcome.

Then, I see this:

Really? This item can only be claimed once?

Some people have paid upwards of $200+ for their own 5 subs and others like myself have worked hard for it. Regardless of the method taken.... this is robbery.....

I have been a firm supporter of the recruitment program. Every item has applied to all of your characters and never were any limitations announced.

In fact, I planned to use the Galaxy-X on several characters if the ship proved to be interesting enough.

We need a response on this, is this a mistake, just for now (until the errors are fixed regarding claiming it) or did you really, just CON us all(those who did the program) into conducting a pseudo-pyramid scheme for you in order to get a ship once....

Nobody else who qualified has an issue with only being able to claim the item once? or does that mean ONCE PER character.

    Dev, clarification please.

I am still displeased with how some of us didn't even get to receive the ship yet. It's ridiculous. All this anticipation for nothing.

Yeah, all the more reason for the Devs to comment to the people who are those who have essentially helped keep STO afloat and bringing new players in, considering the lack of advertising.

Comment, please on the claiming restrictions (one per character or per account) and when is it going to be fixed for people to claim??

Even though this issue only hinders a small number of players, these are all people who have brought in over $200 to your company with potential recurring subscriptions and future referrals incoming.

If the referral program pioneers get screwed, nobody else is going to refer people to the game and instead, it will turn into a larger issue.

I´m only playing one character (never been a fan of twinks) but I totally see your point.
In my eyes it´s an upgrade to your ACCOUNT and not just one character...

My Tribble of Borg, TOS Constitution and Chromodynamic Armor are also listed as only being able to be claimed once.

You guys must be new to the C-Store.

Hey, I think the original poster is referring to the fact that once R5F AGT Galaxy Cruiser is claimed from one character, none of your other characters can claim it. That's why he's so ****ed off.

I sincerely believe it's a bug though... so oh well.

The Bigger problem is that there are those who tried to claim it, and did not get it for whatever reason. And that is a bug the devs are working on to resolve. I hope by the end of this weekl.

I feel sorry for those who havent gotton there galaxy x yet, seeing i also am in the list of sorts. I wont get myn till the 21st of the month. But seeing this is almost sickening in my stomach. People like myself went out of there way to recruit STO. It states once you recruit 5 and have sub'd you get the All good things Galaxy. So people have done thus and yet have recieved it... way to go cryptic for slamming our faces...

Not even a word from the Devs or feedback on these boards about the issue and when itll be resolved...another slap in our face. This game is getting more worse as it goes from the dev community and to be honest i see the same outcome SWG had with SOE, with STO and Cryptic.

This happened to me. I claimed it an it never showed up. Please fix this soon as it annoys me that I went through all the trouble of getting 5 friends to buy, play, and then keep playing this game only to miss out on the only reason why I did it.

It is a bug. The ship is experiencing bugs.

The language being cited in this thread is applied to many other C-Store items. The language isn't the clearest language one could have chosen. But the purpose of that language has meant that you can only have one copy of the item on your character.

You can have the same item on different characters. And if you delete your one copy you can get it again. That's how the C-Store has been working.

The galaxy-X is bugged though. As many threads and posts (and you) are pointing out.

    It's a bug.

The language though, isn't doing what the OP thinks it might be doing.

    It's the ship that's bugged.

Definately sounds like a bug. I don't think there's any item available thats one per account.

If its not in fact a bug, it should be changed. Won't be a ship I ever expect to get myself, but it would be unfair to those who did the work to get it.

I think there is a major problem when they cannot even give us an official reply to this. We know there are GM/Devs lurking here.

They are posting up on the announcement board in the auction announcement, that the patch to fix this is planned to go live next week. Leave it to Cryptic to TRIBBLE with the people who help them the most.

That's great news! Now all they need to do is make a version for the Klingons that have invested money or time into the Referral Program.

Perhaps they could make a Vet Reward for Klingons as well..........

Oh could you kindly post the link please? Next week? Is Cryptic kidding? This is so ridiculous. Star Trek Online has been a pretty dull game for me till it brought me back from Eve Online after I heard of this Refer a Friend promotion where we can get this beautiful ship. Talking about running around the store and Ebay to get all the games and time-cards for 2 days to get this ship.... what a wasted effort.

'Claim once' refers to the character, as in you claim it one time on said character and it is always there and never used up like a respec token would be. It's nothing to worry about.

Atari posted that both factions could use it but they have removed that from their website. Now it just says that any Fed player can claim it.

Yea.. it would be awesome if the ship is available to Klingon too though.

And Captain_Sol, I have every right to complain lol. Seriously. Every right.

Ya it's kind of a bummer but I can totally understand them changing that though. Having Klingons flying a Galaxy class ship into battle might be a little immersion breaking. Not that I wouldn't take it :D

The newest Ask Cryptic posted something that kind of bummed me out. It looks like we won't see a Klingon referral ship till after (my guess) Season 2.

Q: Jaesun: Will we ever see a Klingon ship for referral rewards?

A: I think that is a good possibility. Right now we are looking at bumping the level cap for the game, and that means trying to get new ships into the game for everyone. So those new ships will be getting first priority.

The bright side to this is that they said "new ships into the game for everyone".

Being such a staunch and loyal Klingon ... now would be a great time to ...

Suggest a ship they COULD offer.

Post a link to what you think they should offer.

It can't be the Klingon ship from that episode, unfortunately. Because those nerds at paramount went and used that as the basis for the Neg'Vahr.

So ... what would you like them to offer? There isn't much variety in the KDF. And they already have covered quite a few of the ships. The D-7 isn't technically there, but I doubt people would be all that thrilled to just have a K'Tinga with LESS graphics.

There's not much to choose from that I'm aware of. But my interest in the KDF isn't as keen as other posters.

Awesome, I claimed my Galaxy-X today... got NOTHING AT ALL! Damnit Cryptic, thanks for ruining the past month for me in regards to STO.

I will be starting a formal complaint against Cryptic and their marketing department for this grievous error. If you wish to be involved. please message me.

Well I have seen a few ships from Enterprise that had some very nice designs. Only problem with them is the fact that they are a little too old and none of these ships offer something unique like the Galaxy-X does.

Goroth's ship is nice and so is the D4 Battle Cruiser.
    http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/scans/klingon-22ndcentury.htm

The D7 is a great ship but it should be given out to anyone that has the TOS Connie (or soon to be added C-Store item) from Game Stop.

So what ship would I like? Well....General Chang's BoP that fires while cloaked. Give it the looks of the T1 B'Rel and T1 B'Rel Refit, so same size as the T1 but hull and BO slots of T5 BoP. Give it target sub-systems just like a science ship. As for firing while cloaked, just give it the same ability as Jam Sensors but with no timer. Just like Jam Sensors, the higher the Aux you have, the more damage you can do before decloaking. If you are careful and have high Aux, you can stay cloaked. Makes for an awesome Torpedo Boat huh?!?!

I suspect the "Can only be claimed once" bit will actually mean that once you've claimed it, it's unlocked for all Fed characters. I could be wrong, as it might be like the TOS Enterprise in which you claim it, and equip it from inventory. IF that's the case, then yeah.. that sucks.

It may just be that once you claim it, it's unlocked for all characters though..
