I would like to see some of the items available to people who bought from certain locations in the C-store. My copy of the game being a gift, I didnt have the opportunity to choose where I got my copy from and get the benefits from buying from a specific location.
Things that I would really like to have would be the NX prefix, and the DS9/Voy uniforms. I would be willing to pay for any of these on the C-Store, and by selling them, i dont think you devalue the bonus of people who received these bonuses through their special versions.
Just go out and buy them from the stores that have the stuff you want and you can have the items and yes it would devalue the rewards of people who bought multiple copies of the game to get these items people paid anywhere from 30 to 60 for each copy to get these items and now you want them on the cstore for what like what 2 to 5 dollars each?
Actually I paid 120 dollar for my additional collectors edition while already having a DDE.
Oversees shipping makes stuff expensive.
Still though, if I have to give up the exclusivity I got right now from those uniforms in exchange for getting access to the other goodies then I'd do it.
Sigh. Not another stupid "put X in the C-Store" thread. Look, the items can still be gotten through the various retailers. Just buy the CE or DDE or Steam or Amazon or GameStop or whatever. You can get the items there. The C-Store is too bloated right now as it is. Don't go asking to put MORE TRIBBLE up there.

I strongly disagree, Maybe they should have a way of sorting or organizing it, but I like having more content available. Yes it can be gotten through retailers but I think paying for a second copy of the game is TRIBBLE just for certain bonuses. Those of you who have, good for you, but MOST people are not going to pay another 50$ for 1 or 2 cosmetic bonuses. I dont think it is unreasonable to charge a few dollars in the C-Store for these items as it is just artwork. If you think the C-STore is bloated, dont use it.

i agree. i want the tng outfits and unless they put them in the cstore I guess I have no choice but ti pay 40 bucks from amazon to get it

So you think it's ok that some of us paid alot of money for something and you should get it for less because you dont want to buy more copies of the game?

Yes, I dont think it is reasonable for cryptic to expect people to buy more than one copy of the game, just because you did, doesnt mean it is reasonable. It's like saying that people should buy 5 copys of the game to get the galaxy X. That isnt the intention of cryptic, even though some people are going to do it, the point is to refer people.

Nor is it reasonable for them to sell something very cheap by comparison that others paid alot for it would be a slap in the face to those that did shell out the money
As someone who purchased a few different copies to get different perks i wouldn't mind it if they were made available in the c-store.
Actually they already had a promotion giving away TOS uniforms for free so Cryptic certainly isn't scared of any potential customer backlash by offering things for cheaper or even free that others had to purchase copies of the game for.

Technically that's happening already - as it does with every MMO. I paid $30 for my copy of the game (GameStop) while others paid more. Arguably, I paid less for more content than people who purchased the full-priced game at launch. It's just the nature of the game.

You didn't pay a lot for the extra items though. You paid more because you bought more copies of the game. If you take into consideration what each item is worth without being tied to the game. You're going to be upset but that's not my problem. The TOS uniforms were already given away free. That pretty much ensures everything else will eventually be available, which doesn't bother me at all. They can even offer up the playable Borg species that's tied to lifers only currently for all I care. People want this stuff and they shouldn't have to resort to buying multiple copies of the game to get it.

I think it's completely fair as well, nobody forced us to buy extra copies of the game after all and nowhere it was stated that eventually the goodies wouldn't become available to everybody.
Before you cast judgement on me, I shelled out an extra 100 euro for a collectors edition while already having the DDE.
There are however still other goodies I'd love to get too and I'd rather buy them from the c-store then purchasing additional copies of the game.

The Collector's Edition items should never be available for those who didn't buy the Collector's Edition.
However, the regular editions should be allowed to be attainable by others. (Buff Tribble from Best Buy / Liberated Borg from Amazon / etc).
Edit : Just saying for arguements sake, I do not have the collector's edition for STO. But I did get the CE's for Warcraft and would have been ****ed if the in game items were made available to everyone cheaply after I shelled out more for the CE than the regular version.
Well the collectors edition might have cost me more, but only like 5 euro perhaps, infact I think it's argumentively cheaper then the regular version, all things considered.
I got an awesome badge, 3 10 day guest passes (basicly an extra free subscription month), a cool art book and the extra in-game goodies.
It looks like you paid more for it, but with the extra free subscription month I'm not sure if you can really say as much.
I would agree that lifetime subscription bonuses be kept to lifers, I think that is something that they should keep exclusive. I would even say that Collectors Edition items be kept unique.

I'd have to say Cryptic disagree's since the TOS Uniforms they're giving away for free were part of the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Actually i was away when they first started that offer so i must ask; was there many complaints and ragequits when that began? If there wasn't then i'd put money on the rest eventually becoming available by other means.

Fun fact, most lifers I know don't even care about them being up in the c-store lol. There was a topic about this once and 90% of the lifers there said they wouldn't mind if non-lifers could buy the borg playable char in the c-store.
The other bonus, 2 extra char slots, are already up in the c-store.

Actually surprisingly little, I think I was one of the most vocal ones but that was mostly cause I was disappointed about it and later just resigned to it and gave up. Not much I can do against it anyways and I just considered it another bad luck strike...
The DDE did give me some other bonusses that are still 'unique' for the time being though, like the joined trill. Then again I don't really plan to start playing with a joined trill and I got the DDE for the TOS uniforms, but it's still nice to have that option.
Right now I won't be complaining about Cryptic at all since they've compensated me in another way that I was really happy about and they gained a lot of credits for that with me.
Cryptics billing department is awesome, fast responses to my tickets and actual solutions hehe. ^_^

From what I understood Cryptic won't make them available until they stop being selling the items in the stores though.

I'm sure they'll get around to it. Eventually.
