Bring back the Lifetime Subscription option.

I bought the lifetime subscription option when it first was offered to those of us who pre-ordered STO, however I have many friends who would have bought it, if they had pre-ordered. I know monthly charges are how games like this make most of their money, but i think it would be cool if, periodically, Cryptic would give people the option of buying a Lifetime subscription. They could do it only on a referral from someone who alreaady has one or make it a limited time offer or something like that. I just feel that if they would bring around that offer again it would greatly increase the player base.

    The Lifetime Subscription option is still available. It never went anywhere. But its more expensive now ($300) and doesnt come with preorder bonuses like playable Borg.

    Aye, what Personae said, to add to that, new life timers do get all the other goodies like titltes (in-game and on the forums), the lifetime badge and access to the captains table and all that.

    Personally I'd be okay with new life timers getting the playable borg and extra character slots too though, especially since they're paying 300 dollar...

    I don't think the playable borg should be limited to just us '1337' people who were there first. :-s

    I wouldn't mind it either if that becomes available as a veteran reward or even a buyable c-store option. After all I got the lifetime sub because I hope to save out money on subscription fees in the end, not because of all the fun bonusses. (I do appreciate the bonusses though! They give me that warm fuzzy feeling inside of being special.) ;)

    Ok so I am an idiot. sorry. I didn't realize it was still available. I will spread the word. But it is kind of sad that you don't get the perks

    For those of you who want to buy a lifetime subscription and still want the liberated borg playable character just ask cryptic. I asked them before I purchased the lifetime sub and they said they would add it after I made the purchase which they did. So just ask for what you want they may give it to you!

    Keep in mind that if you plan to spread the word ... get your friends to buy it through the referral system. You'll get cool stuff.

    Agreed. I've been trying to get Cryptic to put the Lib Borg back in the LTS...or at least as a 500-600 day vet reward. It seems only fair to me.

    Now keep in mind that the buyers of the Pre-Order lifetime subs, besides buying into the game blind, also gave up the 30 'free' game time for every Retail Package purchased... If current lifetime subscribers were giving up something equivalent to this, then this statement might be justified...

    More Liberated Borg running around with be exceptionally tedious at this stage but sure, why not.

    I'll support having the Liberated Borg in the Vet program if all the Pre-Order items go in as well. I sure would'nt mind having that Borg BO...

    As for putting it back in the LTS, pfft... put the Galaxy-X instead and make the Liberated Borg the Referal option for 5 people.

    Given how people are shilling for the Galaxy-X and those that are cheating the system... put it in the LTS and Cryptic get a solid upfront $300 for EACH Galaxy-X. Meanwhile less moaning about the Referral reward since noone was complaining about Liberated Borg being 'unbalanced' when it was introduced. Throw in the pre-order items in for the referral program for extra incentive.
    One per referral... that would be funny since instead of just 5... its get as many as you can.

    Just imagine the uproar on the forums...

    Why can't people just accept they missed the opportunity for something and move on not talking about the lifetime sub but the borg etc. why do people have this need to have everything i just on't get it
