(On a side note: Weren't income taxes supposed to be abolished after the civil war since they were only levied to pay for that war? If so, doesn't that mean that paying taxes is unconstitutional?)

You think any government would be so silly to give up such a milk cow? I think they actually shoot civil servaints for considering that thought.
VAT and income taxes are here to stay, they existed in ancient Rome and Egypt and they'll still exist in 500 years in the future in Nishkanistan, when I took over the entire world and rule you all! Muahaha.

16th Amendment. Besides, Congress has the right to levy taxes in Article 2 of the Constitution.

I don't think the dutch consitution says we have the right or duty to pay taxes, but they sure made us know that we have to pay them in a dozen other laws. :-s
LOL, B2. I think I'm the one who was AWOL since I'm usually the one who keeps the forum going at this time of day. However, I'm off of work today and enjoying myself. Now, it's off to the casino. I've got a date with some idiots poker money. Hehe.
We've gotten pretty far with a 12th fleet group in the KA accord and were almost at a mini boss on the ground (we think at least) when a nasty bug hit us and prevented us to get any further in the mission.
Sucks to see that happen. Still though, this is by far the best STF so far! Story is awesome and the art is amazing.
Watching my wife play Uncharted 2, while i work on the comp... and browse the STO forums of course:cool:
I need to get a gf that's into gaming as well... Even cooler would be if she likes star trek too.
Btw, notes of the admiral meeting from last night are up on our forums. We have some big changes incoming in the fleet and a lot of exciting stuff ahead of us, definately worth the read.
Results of the feedback pull are also processed and changes are already implemented, or will be done so in a short period from now.
urgh...back to school again...its quite funny, how much my school fails though, we have a footpath, that we are not allowed to use because the design of the school means that people could just walk up the path and in. So they have us walk through the car park.
They claim this is Health and Safety
i didnt know it was safer to walk through a car park...
