The goal of this thread is to make it easier for people to find the fleet that is right for them, without having to scroll through pages and pages in this forum. Please reply with the information for your fleet so that it may be added to the main list.
When posting, please include the following information:
- Name of Fleet
- Approximate Time Zone Region of Fleet (Examples: Americas (EST/PST), Europe (GMT), Central Asia (Russia, Middle East), Oceanic (Australia, NZ, Singapore))
- Three categories that describe your fleet's focus (Casual, Hardcore, PVP, Roleplay, Serious, Silly, Mature, German, etc). You can use the list below as a guide
- Link to your fleet website OR Link to your fleet recruiting post
IMPORTANT!
This is not a replacement for your recruiting posts - just an index to help people find them no matter which page of this forum they are on.
I have included some categories below to start things off. More categories will be added as needed, as fleets post.
I will attempt to update the main list as often as possible as more fleets add their information to the registry.
Per Starfleet Directive 1138, specialized semi-autonomous fleets and task forces may be organized for different purposes and tasks. Starfleet Command maintains a subset of information about each fleet in order to assist recruiting efforts at Starfleet Academy. Fleets are organized into categories for convenience.

Also, if you think that the game should have an in-game Fleet Finder tool, please check out this thread in the UI feedback forum: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?p=2487230#post2487230
I have had a conversation with Phoxe about the thread, and about the problem with this forum in general (how it moves so fast that we all have to bump our recruiting threads every few hours to keep them visible). He is looking in to what can be done.
His primary concerns are:
- Making sure that all fleets are represented.
- Avoiding the appearance of favoritism.
I agree with him that these are important considerations. The ideal, obviously, is for us to have an in-game tool that does what this registry is attempting to do, and that gets updated every time a fleet is formed or a fleet leader goes to modify their recruiting options. However, that sort of thing takes development time, and right now, there's a lot of fish already lined up for that particular fryer.
So in the meantime, I will make this commitment to the community - I will do my best to maintain this registry thread, even if it's not stickied, and add information for as many fleets as I can to it. It won't be perfect - like all of you I have to work for a living and I have my own fleet to worry about, but speaking as a fleet leader myself, I think it is important that players find the fleet that is right for them, because a good fleet can really enhance the game, just as much as a bad fleet can make it no fun at all
I've been going through people's recruitment threads and trying to add their fleet information, but.... well... there's a lot of them. I will keep plugging away at it though and hopefully within a few days most of the active fleets will be listed here.
Note: If anyone wants to post their info as a reply here, that saves me a lot of time having to track down your thread and figure out which categories you fit in! Corrections for the ones i've listed are always helpful too, because I'm sure I missed some things!
