I'm so (Censored) tired of crashing!

It's random, but I'm on about time number 12 tonight and I'm getting ****ed. For some reason dialogue boxes popping up intermittently cause my computer to hardlock- The sound goes to static and everything goes unresponsive. The only way to fix the problem seems to be to hit reset, but I can't even seem to get an idea of where the problem is other than that.
