Attention Admiral Springer and the rest of what remains of 23rd Fleet. Its been days since Springer told me over the strange and controversial matter of how some members made their exodus from the fleet without Springer's consent or knowledge of the matter.
At the time I've heard of the shakedown was from Fletcher himself verbally on vent and I had assumed at the time of 23rd Fleet's dire straits that perhaps Springer and the rest of the staff called for the demise. Given on how it went down, it was more or less the case of the fleet's left hand didn't know what its right hand was doing.
Given that we endured of our own hardships last summer, 23rd Fleet came to our aid and offered relief that was instrumental in the restoration of Omega Fleet. Now I want to return the favor by sending 23rd Fleet 1.5 million credits in the relief efforts.
We've also have a new embasy opened on our site and looking forward to add you to our embassy page.
Farrior, in all fairness you only heard on side of the matter. I'm simply stating a fact
Fletcher and I talked on vent back in November when the decision was made to shut down the 23rd Fleet. I was under the impression that this was an internal decision by all the higher ups including Springer. Then about 10 days ago, Springer hits me up on STO shockingly and wasn't pleased as he was taken by surprise as to what went down while he was hospitalized and vented his displeasure for almost an hour--so yes there is more to what went down on how the whole affair was handled as to who knew what on, otherwise he wouldn't have been upset and voicing it to me. I'm not pointing fingers as to what led to the miscommunication nor is Omega taking sides in the matter, I'm just merely stating I'm willing to offer aid to 23rd Fleet.

Internal issues (Especially Springers personal issues about being hospitalized) like this should not be discussed openly imho. Specially when a fleet is in such a state as what 23rd Fleet is currently in. The fact is that 23rd is still around, and that Springer has assumed command. For those who know Springer, he always has a plan.
From a more personal point of view in facts and a perspective on this, you should discuss your questions about the issues at hand and concerns with Springer, and he would probably be willing to gladly accept your help, or decline politely.
And before you shut me down for putting my .02 in, I was directly involved in the said issue, because I have internal facts gathered from common sense and being involved internally.
No offense intended here, I respect Omega Fleet for who they are, and their hard work and dedication within the STO Community, but I believe Springer would back me when I say this recruitment thread is not the place to discuss said internal issues, dilemmas, offers, and especially personal life issues!
As Springer Once Said... The Original 23rd Motto..."When all else fails, kill Kwingots"
This seems to be taking a turn towards the cereal.
When the fleet council was instated there was a shared power after springer left. No one in the fleet council at the time knew of any "plan", which leads me to believe that there was either a gross lack of communication on the part of those executing this "plan" or there was no plan at all. As one of the former members of the Fleet Council I find this disturbing. There are many things I will leave unsaid but I would like for everyone to move on do whatever it is everyone wants to do. I have been flying in the no-drama zone and I plan to stay there.

Again, Internal Issues do not belong in a recruitment thread. I will send you a PM

I believe you meant to say surreal....not cereal. lol
But nonetheless, point well taken Cassanova--and a Happy New Year, courtesy of Omega Fleet. Again, I'm wanting to repay the favor to my old friend Springer to ensure 23rd Fleet has a firm footing.

I went into hibernation/non-vent mode rather that bring drama to the fleet, but I was not enthused about moving to a new fleet where I knew nobody and would be in an even bigger fleet with the possiblity of more politics and drama. So I decided I'd stay in the 23rd no matter what the others did when I heard the fleet was disbanding. I've been through this once before when my guild moved en masse to WoW without me. Glad to hear Springer is back and healthy and I just might give the whole interacting within a group thing a try again. That said, I'm not much of a pvp'er and I don't know what my role will be. I got off the emblem treadmill a few months ago and am basically waiting for new weeklies and the Foundry to give me new worlds to experience. I farm data samples to make new crafting stuff in the meantime and plan to do several runs through Assimilated for the Borg console in the meantime, but I've experienced burnout when I do too many runs through B'Tran and stop playing for a few days when that happens.
I'm an alt-oholic though and have 13 characters (4 Klingon, 9 Fed) and have several LtC and one Captain Klingon that I can do missions with people with.

You are correct but I went with the cereal spelling as in al gore from south park, super cereal.

That would be incredibly appreciated Farrior. It shows that there is still some sense of an actual Federation of fleets around in game.
A thank you is the very least I can offer in return... Thank you...
We as the 23rd will always be around in some form or fashion, and if you ever need us, I can always be contacted, and we are very willing to help out!
Hope that you enjoyed your New Year! And let us make this an amazing year to come!
Thank you to those who have stayed, and for those who have chosen to depart us, take this message clearly...
I wish you all the best! You made your move, I want NO drama... Please feel free to come here and enjoy this forum as a way to reconnect with us as had been in the past. We can play together, talk together, and interact as we once were. I am very displeased with how it all rolled out, yet I will not pursue any retaliation.
Let us play this as a game and enjoy it... TFD members, you have a game to play, 23rd, we have some repair to do, and Omega Fleet, keep on rocking it!
A Happy New Year to all! See you out there amongst the stars!

Yeah that is true, a helluva lot better than Dan Quayle spelling potato--"POTATOE":p
