I have done 6 via remote from every TZ in NA and all come up green this has absolutely nothing to do with Cryptics server,if you would do a freaking trace you would see exactly where the issue is and could then forward it to Cryptic or your ISP and they in turn would ask the owner to look into the relay.

Really? What ******** program are you using anyway? How are you "remotely" doing tracerts? Sorry but im not going to trust some third party software using "remote" connections.

Exactly lol. HEY GUYS!! IM PINGING THESE ROUTERS WITH NO TRAFFIC AND THE LATENCY IS FREAKING GRREEEAT! Thats why I said I will WAIT until the servers are back up to post my tracert.

Man oh man you can't ping a server if its turned off -_- server off = 100% packet loss.

I have remote access to a nationwide computer network, you don't need that I just wanted to see if there was a problem with certain areas.

As for programs theres tonnes of them, heres a simple java based one.

    HMmmmmmmmmm...........

Pretty interesting huh buddy. No lag on any of my hops yet I still have lag from the server itself. I KNOW what server lag feels like.

Also just to shut you up about my computer lag here are my specs:

    Q6600 @ 3.2gihz running a 1600FSB
4gigs of DDR2 1066mhz RAM (though running at 800mhz right now. I forget the latency, something like 4-4-4-12)
    GTX 260 216core OC edition

DSL with 8mbit DL and 800kbps upload. Thats REAL throughput from a connection from myself in NC to NY

So again wether its network lag on their side or their ****** hardware ....... ITS UNACCEPTABLE!

My Kung Fu is strong. Yours is weak.

Are you serious, how in gods name is any company to aggregate that amount of data to locate a network error,if it was an issue Server side wouldn't you want to help to expediate any issue -_-

Again I repeat, people in general are -not- network engineers. If you say traceroute to them, they're going to think it's something a dentist does.

And more ships = more players = more polygons = system lag.

The bulk of the missions I've done today have been solo. Solo before prime-time without lag, and solo during prime-time with lag. No more ships, no more polygons, no more system lag. I have also done insanely populated fleet actions without a marked increase in lag.

The truth is that system lag and network lag do not manifest themselves in the same way. If the lag is in moving the character, but never in moving the camera, it's almost certainly network lag. If camera movement is laggy, it's almost certainly a system problem.
