Our ideas around ship crafting are tied to our plans for Player Run Starbases. More than likely, you'll need to have access to a player run starbase, with their own spacedock before you can craft or refit a ship.

There are no further details on this system other than it will be tied to starbases and not memory alpha.

This means START putting money into the fleet bank, weekly!

Just put 5 mil more in the bank, bringing us to 10 million. Let's keep it going! Everyone should have no trouble putting 100-200k a week in there minimum.

Remember we are trying to make sure that when the time finally comes for more fleet stuff that requires energy credits, we aren't running around scrambling for credits, we can just buy it, and then have a party and be up on the dance floor makin it rain with Romulan Ale.

You can try to sell items on the Exchange, or sell off some of the low to mid-end items in the bank that most people would end up gathering in missions that drop fairly frequently.

I should be there for the event. But we do have members in time zones that it would be too late for so perhaps pushing up the time about 3 hours may be more feasible.

Attention fellow members. I managed to talk Captain Quack into moving up the event up 3 hours. So it will now start at 6pm. EST. So for my fellow members overseas, if that is a bit more feasible, hope that you can attend.

Getting rare data samples i.e particle traces and sell them on the exchange...i have sold a single item for 650,000 credits before...only problem is it takes time and patience but well worth it when you can get your hands on some purple gear for your ship..

or you can learn crafting and then sell what you have crafted on the exchange.

Look alive fellow members. I am making this post a bit of an update on what was discussed yesterday inthe meeting. For those who haven't read Ask Cryptic, The Engineering Report or watched the latest STO'ked 69 or even briefly mentioned in STO'ked 66, in which it pertained to crafting.

It appears that crafting could be headed in a new direction, likely when the new "Duty Roster" is released as it seems that Cryptic is planning to have crafting done by our ship engineers onboard our ships to perhaps improve your vessel or craft other items and make less trips to Memory Alpha, maybe except where a trip to Memory Alpha could be used to perhaps crafting very rare or soon new rares that require the Alpha Station.

There are some crafted or crafting icons featured in STO'ked 69 that are not released yet that includes Kirk's bamboon cannon he used against a Gorn in the episode "The Arena and a Delta Flyer icon. There is hints being tossed around that this icon maybe means to create a newer version of the Flyer. Though that remains to be seen.

UPDATE: The Foundry goes live on Feb. 24
