Gamma/Dominion STF's are gone?

I can't seem to play a Gamma aka Dominion STF anymore. Yes, the event has Swarm but in easy mode that stf doens't reward a carapace needed for projects. So why is it gone?

    Usually, during an Event, only the Normal version of a queue is available.
    This prevents people queueing for Advanced or Elite, then coming to the forum to whine about not getting Event progress.
    Once the Event ends, the Advanced and Elite versions will return.

    You can do a project for 1 (one) carapace every 20 or 24 hours. I know that's not an ideal solution, but it's the only solution, while the event goes on.

    I thought there was a way to get a carapace from the wormhole battlezone, though it was an annoyingly long slog through the weird TFO structure there to get to the boss battle. It has been a long time since I used that battlezone for anything except getting a few Dominion ship kills for endevors though, so I might be wrong.
