The upgrade event for xbox never started as posted in the sto news https://www.playstartrekonline.com/en/news/article/11571635
I tried using multiple types of tech upgrades but none gave increased technology points.

    Then moments later it started.

    Yeah, I just checked after reading your first post and it was on. They very often post wrong start, end, and dates on the official posts and in game. I rarely try to play these Weekend events until after 12pm CST on the start date so that I'm sure they are turned on.

    "8am PT" would be 4pm for me in the UK, but ingame stuff always starts at 6pm for me, so I figured the time in the post was wrong.
