A Brand New Hirogen Ship!

The ongoing run of the Infinity Lock Box will soon be updated with the addition of an all-new Starship!

Beginning alongside the Flagship Event on August 22nd, 2024, players on PC will have the chance to at last pilot the updated and upgraded version of an older Lock Box ship – the Hirogen Predator Heavy Escort (T6). This maneuverable hit-and-run starship has been upgraded with a full Pilot Primary Specialization, alongside improved stats and seating, and a modernized revamp of its visuals!

    I wish we could get some news on those T5 Infinity packs.

    Now that the last T5 fleet level alien ship (i.e., the last alien ship with 10 consoles) will be removed from it, I feel there needs to be something to make these packs more interesting.

    There was talk of a trade-in mechanism, where multiple T5 packs could be exchanged for one T6 one a while back. I'm curious as to whether this is still being considered?

    Another idea would be trading for something like 10? weapon choice packs or trait choice packs.

    Ever since the Tier5 ships became unavailable this tier 6 release was expected.

    I am curious in what content this ship will make its debut.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Now we just need a T6 Apex Battlecruiser and we're set.

    Honestly, I'd be fine with it getting stuffed in the box. As long as it's there to get.

    I may not have the T5, but I saw the Experimental on the T6 and I legit went Monke Mode. lol

    They still haven't made the Vaadwaur Interdictor Cruiser playable, I wish they would do that one next.

    am I the only one asking WTF? current content has zero zip nada to do with the Hirogen, unless the next mirror borg event is saving the hirogen's sorry butts in the Delta quadrant

    Well... they've also been working on making T6 versions of the old T5 lockbox ships too. Don't think that really needs to be tied to events going on in the game.

    At least the Hirogen are already present in the game. The first time the Xindi ships were released, they added a single NPC in one of the Undine missions (and parts to the tailor).

    Same with the Son'a. We saw them once and then never again.
    Not the best releases, in my opinion.

    Not that I particularly care about the Hirogen - as I always saw them as an uninteresting, primitive culture that wouldn't function at all as a society (in fact, some Hirogen themselves even admit this), obsessed as they are with hunting stuff to increase their own personal standing. They're not that different from the Terran Empire, in my opinion.
    But I do appreciate it when new ships are actually featured in new content.

    The thing which is interesting about the heavy hirogen escort is that it hints at the hirogen/hologram conflict which we have not seen resolved.

    Bring back the Hirogen missions!.. or tell us what they're hunting on New Romulus! Did we ever learn what the 'Alpha Predator' on Mol'Rihan is / was?

      In one of the old Iconian War lore blogs, there was talk of some sort of beast being used by the Heralds/Iconians on New Romulus. At least, that's what I vaguely remember.
