Odyssey Hull Material Visual Glitch

So I've noticed that when putting the revamped Odyssey hull material on any ship that can use it, there is a weird glitch that by default makes it appear with some sort of vanity shield affect I think. It makes the hull look like there is some sort of spilled oil slick on it.

Have you made sure that all shield visuals are turned off? The default is that they are on.

Yep, all shield visuals are off. Here are some screenshots. This also shows up on other ships when using the Odyssey hull material like the Exeter class and the Avenger class which were both recently remastered.

This is Normal - the Odyssey hull material has a glossy shine to it. Several other Hull Materials also have this.

It's supposed to have that purplish, pinkish oil slick looking effect on the darker parts of the hull?

Yep, always has had that - even before the Odyssey material became its' own thing!
