I honestly have absolutely no issue with someone standing still and spamming abilities - those medical generators have saved me more than once. What annoyed me today was the person who kept spamming that emote that shows off all your tier 6 reputations. Made it really hard to find my targets.
I saw that the tommy gun becomes useless by round 5. they become immune and you cannot refrequence it. even if you switch to a energy weapon and refrequence, it does not reset the tommygun.

Yea I noticed Physical damage becomes useless. Been using the TR-116 and Photon Burst for my runs since they're Kinetic.

Looking for some wide beam options for my recently 65 Liberated Borg character.
Previously i used the Sompek weapons, but in a recent Royale run i barely had time to get in range of Borg due to pink lightning users.
Do the assimilated plasma weapons come in a wide beam rifle variety?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I'm guessing this is a "anti-cheese" mechanic there so that you can't just bring a weapon the Borg cannot adapt and bypass the difficulty setting.

Unlikely as Kinetic weapons like the TR-116 and Photon Burst are still effective. The only two this seems to effect are the Cochrane Shotgun and Tommygun, which deal Physical damage. And usually only against Mirror Borg in my experience. I think its something to do with the Mirror Borg specifically.

Such a shame.
Using assimilated plasma would have been nice for the RP element on a Liberated Borg.
Edit:
Once i have the omega rep up i'll test the Borg Prosthetics, dual pistols with "Borg" modifier and Automatic Rifle with Borg modifier.

We need 'anti-cheese' checks in Sompek arena and a whole other range of small-map missions too.
Ground combat has been severly dumbed down with the release of OP stuff like the V'Ger probes, wind kit modules and omni-directional agony turrets.
Click one button, kill (and in the case of the hurricane wave device, disable them before killing) everything. No need to look at what you're targeting, as that kind of stuff is usually even more effective against entire groups, as targeted abilities are against a single one.
Just curious, has any tried using a force dome/ engineer bunker build in Battle Royale?
Tested it. Solid choice. Only old school modules. Force Dome, mortar, beam turret, med generator + shield generator.
Only thing to remember is to grab the dropped vinculums from time to time.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by how many people are paying attention to the enemy healing stuff. In most teams, we're basically fighting over who gets to disable it. xD

Teams which ignore the vinculums usually learn fast enough that ignoring the vinculum is a good way to get overwhelmed.

I'd just like to express my appreciation to the devs who created this TFO.
For me it fills a need for a somewhat more rambunctious style of gameplay that I really welcome as a longer term end game player. Balancing a TFO like this that's played by such a wide variety of players has got to be a tough job but I really enjoy your mix of challenge, surprises, and team gameplay. I find myself highly immersed and feeling refreshed each time I play it.
Keep up the good work

Is this a zombie now? Does this qualify as a zombie?

It can be tough even trying to say thank you in this forum.
Well... its because the last post was back in June so trying to figure out if this hit the 30 day necro wall or not.
Nope. Missed it by a day. 😏

take a look a the old mission where you get a borg arm weapon. I think the engineer version has a wide beam mode

Or, you could report them.
I find that using RPG mode allows me to adjust my viewing angle in order to help overcome visual obstacles.
Targeting probably isn't going to be much of an issue in a map with some 250 plus targets being available over 4-6 minutes.
You're bound to hit something

Far as I know the Assimilated Plasma weapons only come in bolt flavor...
Ok there is a stun pistol as well. No wide beam or split beam whatsoever though.

I believe we're long overdue for a balance pass.
Sure, if that's what you want to conclude from my post...
