Fleet invites show up with no username or fleet. Senders say user unable to receive invite.

There was an issue with the person inviting me, saying that the system reported that I had fleet invites turned off. This was not true. I suspect the system somehow lost their name with the invites they sent me to join the fleet, and that is what I was seeing. I toggled the invites off and on, but that didn't work. According to the person sending invites, once I logged off, they could send the invite successfully! I hope this helps with the debug. The person inviting me is with the United Federation of Planets. According to them and another person in the fleet, invites have been giving them issues: Not detecting the proper invite status seems to be the common denominator. I'd look there for the issue and look for bugs around that.

The person informed me that the after I logged off, the invite was sent without issues. I received it when I logged in the next day.
During the time they were sending me invites, I kept getting invites by someone with no name or fleet. Concerned about who was sending it, I did not accept, it appeared to be a hack or scam of some kind, so I reported this to the GM system.
Additionally, while conversing on the fleet channel, I was informed that others have experienced similar problems not being able to send to people who claim to have invites turned on. So, these are no isolated incidents. We don't know how things appeared to the person on the receiving end of the invite except in my case which I have reported above. It's possible similar things occur and people are just ignoring them and not reporting the issue for the same reason I ignored it.

Felt it ought to be reported with as much detail as I could discover so it might be debugged or tested. It seems to be intermittant, and I understand that it's difficult to debug issues like that. Nevertheless, it has been reported.
