So far we have hit all the high notes of Borg Lore within Trek, despite it being the Borg Kingdom lol.
- VOY "Scorpion" Easter Egg in the latest Story Mission
- Captain Ezri Dax from the Star Trek Destiny Novels (Borg Invasion of 2381, literary universe)
- Wolf 359 Simulation.
- The Wolf 359 Ships (picking up the Springfield Class today
)
- Star Trek: Borg PC Game Easter Eggs and VOY Hazard Team references
Any bets Captain Sela of the USS Enterprise D will become a "Locutus of Borg" in the new featured episode. "Best of Both Worlds" has yet to be fully explored and well lets face it nostalgia is all Trek has these days. Also an assimilated Sela would be a great alternative reality to Empress Donatra being Assimilated in our Universe early in the game's lifespan and call back to the early Borg TFO missions. Would be a nice full circle the Borg story if you ask me. We also need Admiral Data or Admiral Geordi La Forge to replace Admiral J.P. Hanson in Sela's Best of Both Worlds. The new ground Borg TFO probably will be a call back to Commander Shelby's Away Mission to retrieve Captain Picard from the Borg. If you look back at the episode, there are about 5 waves of drones the Away Team manage to fight off before they adapt to the EM enhanced phasers.
Also our Borg have been dormant while the Borg Kingdom runs amok, I see a potential Mass Effect Geth situation where the Borg Kingdom are deemed heretics by our Collective and we get a civil war out of it.
The Final Episode has to have the Battle of Sector 001 where the player and Sela's Enterprise D finally end the Borg threat in a shout out to First Contact because well....we can and we should.
