Mining game ends instantly for new Delta recruit

During bonus dilith weekend I have several characters turning in rich dilithium claims.
Each day (for 3 days in a row), the first mining I attempt each day , the mining game ends instantatly, guaranting a low score and causing me to get dilith reward of 5,001 instead of 10,001.
When I repeat mining exercise on my other characters, the game stays active and I can get max reward.

I do notice also that I started each day with same character as first miner, my new delta recruit, so I cannot rule out that the problem may actually be a detla issue. I will try to remember Monday morning to do the first mining with a different character and see if that works.
I have 74 claims...I'm not worryed about a couple. Also, it's not the first of day...the issue is with delta.
The issue is not with the first mining each day...the issue is with mining with a new delta recruit. And the bug is only With NEW deltas. I have older Delta recruits from prior years, and they can mine fine with no problem. But for the new delta recruit, the mining mini game ends as soon as it starts, guaranteeing minimum score.
I know now why there is an instant end of rich dilithium mini game. If i had equiped the new photon burst ground weapon and/or the kuumaarke ground set it ends at start. Without this items the dilithium mini game works.
