Personally I find little enjoyment in missions that last only 30 seconds. Some, like the Tzenkethi one last longer, but few people queue for that one - I like it when the mission takes longer than half a minute, that doesn't mean I enjoy sitting in a queue for 15 minutes.
So honestly, I prefer to just go alone for these events. There's more of a challenge from the actual content itself, you get more XP from a single mission.
And, because you're not being forced into a race, you don't have to deal with feelings that are probably similar to being hunted down. I especially dislike this last thing.
I remember many years ago, before all the power creep, when I felt a real sense of accomplishment from managing to solo the old red alert within the 10? minute time limit. That might have been when it happened at timed intervals like Risa events ate now.
These days it's 30 seconds of meh. Being able to solo it again would be easy but a little more interesting than in a group of 5.
I usually que up for the Nakul RA if I have time to do anything other than the Tholian or Borg ones, and do housekeeping stuff on my character while waiting for it to pop, or if I don't have enough doffing or admiralty or whatever to last until it does I keep my Kindle handy for the rest of the waiting.
When I read comments on how players would like more event maps unlocked for them to solo, all I'm seeing is players asking "why isn't there more event content made for end game players" or even "STO needs a difficulty adjustment".

Give us options please.
