Hello, in coordinated runs the [Console - Universal - I.F.F. Manipulator] has been a key component for support builds for the past several years.
While new support platforms like the Ahwahnee and Friendship have come in with much potential, their inability to slot the IFF console has severely limited them in the min-max environment.
While Type 7's have greatly increased the amount of debuff in a run, at the end of the day it's very difficult to ignore the impact the up to -400 Debuff from IFF can have against larger targets.
If possible, please remove the ship restrictions for the IFF console to enable more platform diversity for support builds in endgame play.

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch."
"We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
But other consoles could also be unrestricted, I'm most interested in the "Wing Torpedo Platforms" of the Andorian Pilot Escort; this could be a nice torp console per example.
There are certainly understandable restrictions like the Cnidarian Defender console; Nevertheless: if you already own a specific ship with a neat console, why not install it somewhere else?
A rethinking of restrictions would be very desirable, especially on older ships.
Thank you
