a request for 2 items to be pulled out of the lobi store and into the phoenix box.

the 2 items are on the year 4 anniversary ship, the dyson solonae destroyer, it is the solonae secondary deflector and solonae overcharged warp core. anyone who wants the last parts of the set are not going to buy the year 4 ship for 2 parts so I thought ask to move them out of the lobi and into the phoenix box

Never understood why that ship had such a loyal following.

That sounds reasonable to me. Cryptic should have the metrics to tell them how many sales of the ship they would lose, but my wild guess is not many. They just need to make them UR tokens not Elite, since the odds of getting an Elite are (roughly) one in eleventy billion :)

    I agree.

As it's only T5, maybe they could even put it in the Infinity T5 boxes instead.

There are probably many of those boxes sitting unused in players' banks, so I imagine there would be sufficient supply.

If I'm not mistaken, the dyson ships in the C-store don't have the deflector and core on them and they are account bound, just add them to them.

Well, when it was released, it came with an entirely new weapon type, futuristic looking designs, a fun set that includes multiple clicky-abilities. I can see its appeal.

I especially like the Klingon ones. As it's one of the few ships that sticks to the general design philosophy of Klingon ships, without having the rusty, industrial looks. It's something I could see a Starfleet captain or officer serve on, as part of the Khitomer alliance for example.

In that regard, they're great ships for cross-faction crews.

I liked the look of both the Klingon and Romulan Dysons. ESPECIALLY after they gained access to their faction hull materials. The Federation one, however... to me just looks like aliens saw an Intrepid and tried to build their own.

    Best description I've read yet!
I completely agree - the Romulan and Klingon Dyson ships are quite beautiful but the Starfleet version is just downright ugly.

If memory serves, these were added to the Lobi store as a way to make the deflector and warp core available to those who would have missed the Year 4 Anniversary. At that time, T5 was still the top ships in the game.
Since we've had T6, and the implementation of the Phoenix Boxes, they really should move over there.
But Mudd's Market? Aw, hell, no!

Well we've had an interesting wrench thrown in.
T6 Dysons are apparently on the deck a couple months from now according to the livestream from earlier today.

the ship can stay there, the drive/singularity core and secondary deflector should be removed and added to the phoenix box,and I do not open alot of infinity boxes, so those boxes I do not have

It's not such a bad ship...just aged very poorly between not being able to upgrade the cannons and lacking a experimental weapon slot

Millage may vary on the Dyson ships, but overall they could do neither tactical (escort) nor science well. The lack of an experimental weapon slot further reduced its appeal.

Handling of the ship was clunky at best and the visual aspect of the ship is divisive.

Let us not forget the mission in which this ship was introduced and with which awful weapons setup we were forced into a brawl with (then) fierce voth/undine opponents.

For many, myself included, it adds up to a severe aversion to the Dyson ships.

Were experimental weapon slots even a thing back then?

IIRC, they were added to the game well after the Dyson's were released.

IIRC, they were added to the game well after the Dyson's were released.

But they were retroactively fitted to all escort type vessels, not to odd hybrids like the Dyson line.

Edit: Experimental weapons were released roughly at the same time as the dyson ships since that release also included Secondary Deflectors which are present on the Dyson ships.

not all escorts. I don't think any Defiant variant has an experimental

Actually the Defiant line does as they are escorts. The only Defiant that doesn't is the Legendary because its a Warship and not an Escort.
