Days Of Doom unable to complete on PC

Across all my toons, when playing Days of Doom, if the starbase is destroyed, the planet killer makes it to where the base was and just stops. Deploying the dreadnaught warp core does nothing and it eventually disappears. No cut scene of the starship coming to save the day. The TFO is completable if the starbase survives.
Surprised this wasn't on the forum as numerous in game players complained about this on the in game chat.
