Gatling Emitter Broken

I went to do - Wanted [Argala System] recently in my Da Vinci Miracle worker and the Gatling Emitter Experimental stays locked on the big ship at the end and keeps firing even when I unselect it and move out of range keeping me in red alert mode.
Edit: forgot to add had to go to char screen and back in order to leave the map and did not get the skill points that you get for the match when leaving, got the marks but cant remember if I got the dil though.
And it apears from other battles that it stays locked onto the first ship you target until its destroyed even if you you move well out of range or start shotting at another ship. so if the ship is like the one in Argala or like some of the ships in the Gon'Cra System that have a countodown before they blow it will keep firing and you will stay in red alert.
I tried the Soliton Wave Impeller with the same setup and Ion Stream Prohetor and they work fine. so it must be a bug with the Gatling Emitter.
this was before and after the last patch, dont know when it started doing this though as had not done Argala or Con'Cra in awile so might not of just noticed it behaving like that before.
