Specialization points still accumulating after hitting 195

My character is still gaining specialization points after reaching 195. They are not being automatically traded in for the 2,880 dilithium. These points have been gained by experience, not the specialization points given as rewards. I am currently sitting at 9 (nine).

Any Spec Points that were awarded by Events or Z-Store Promo's were originally not counted toward the limit.
After a time, this was patched.
It sounds very much like you're still gaining those 'uncounted' Spec Points, which will continue until the game itself reaches the 195 limit.

I currently have all my Spec Points filled out and had about 29 leftover before the game reached the internal count of 195 and started converting them to Dilithium.
