Federation Playable Gorn Please

I would like to be able to play Gorn on the Federation side, especially given that we have Federation playable Klingon now, I don't think this would be too far of a stretch. If this possibility could please be entertained, that would be awesome.

Hopefully there are others that feel similarly, and this isn't just a me thing.

Federation Klingons NOW? We've had playable FED Klingons for years. I disagree. No FED Gorn, no FED Orions, etc. Now, playable race choices are the only real difference between the Factions. So, I would say "no" to ending Faction uniqueness.

I don't think the Gorn consider themselves as allies to the Federation. I know the TOS episode pretty much ended with Gorn & Federation in an alliance, but we've never seen a Gorn in Starfleet either.
    no FED Orions
I agree with faction-uniqueness, but we have seen some Orions in Starfleet, so I don't think this one should be a flat-out 'no'.
Saying that, I'm in no hurry to see Orions being made available for Federation players - their whole vibe doesn't sit right in my head.

There is a line or two of throwaway dialog in DS9 that mentions that Cestus III is a joint Gorn-UFP planet at the time, so some Gorn would fit Trek-lore-wise, and iirc there was a Gorn in the background in one of the movies that showed the Starfleet HQ and/or the Federation administration complex. Still, from looking at the racial mix in social areas I doubt the Gorn would be popular enough to make the effort of porting them over to the "blue" side worth it (especially since having a joint colony does not necessarily mean Gorns would join Starfleet).

On the other hand, Orions seem to be popular to the point where there could be a significant negative impact on KDF participation if official, no added work needed, Orions were added to the Fed side. Even though they are almost trivial to make in any decent faction (model-wise just a human mesh covered with green skin, and optionally one of the "soothing pheromone" kit modules to get the seduction attack) a lot of players prefer the "real thing" when making characters and so make their Orions in the KDF generator.

Personally, I would prefer that they put the effort it would take to add them to the Fed generator to more useful tasks.

Yeah I agree here and besides Tendi's storyline is incomplete (she's the only Orion in the prime-universe which the STO verse mirrors mostly, all other Orions are in the Kelvin timeline) for all we know the finale for her storyline means SF make standing order of "No Orions shall be ever be admitted to Starfleet ranks"
