I like the ship but I have an issue with it's ship ability "Targeted Excision (Starship Trait)" the ability is useless with the Elite Borg Probes because the Elites Probes already comes with "Beam Overload" and those don't have cannons so what's the point of having these ability I know it's somewhat good if there not Elites but still my own opinion I think should been useful for the Borg Carrier

I believe the idea behind the trait is to be able to decide WHEN to use it, and to allow for flexibility in hanger pet choice.

Lets use Superior Area Denial as an example here, as I am using it myself.
Set up here is what I did on my MW FDC USS Hornet.
2 hangers of Elite Valkyrie Fighter Squadrons.
They're equipped with Cannons. My DSC Connie's packing beams. However using Superior Area Denial I can bestow Cannon Scatter Volley on them every time I use Beam Fire at Will.

Using Targeted Excision with that set up, I could give them Cannon Rapid Fire any time I use Beam Overload. Rather than wait for their cooldown, you can decide when they use it.

Would it make more sense to use it for a hanger pet that doesn't already have that ability? Probably. But it does give you a measure of control as well. Being able to tell your hanger pets to use Beam Overload now, all at the same time, rather than scattered around on timing because some may have been destroyed and replaced, thus have their native cooldowns staggered.

I can see your point of view to me its just still a disappointment they couldn't done more that relate to the ship or its hanger pets to make it feel more borg
