For a premium ship its pretty shocking how poor a state its been released in. A console that is useless in its current state and locks the entire ship out on use while doing nothing useful.
Frigates pets that are bugged and that do near useless damage that is tiny. They don't even assimilate targets like they should. A trait that is sub standard and yet another copy and past with little changed. I love Carriers but this Carrier is just dreadful in terms of pets, console and trait.
The Console, pets and trait need a rework and/or fixing. I am not convinced the pet damage and crit buffs are applying to Frigates. Seeing 10% crit instead of 30% they should get on my build. The console seems to lock out and hold your own ship. EDIT: The new console is great its just the locking out your own ship weapons that is bad.
Another thing about this ship is the deflector and impulse engines VFX aren't even aligned. Now, considering what kind of ship it is, you could say Your Mileage May Vary whether it's a good or a bad thing, but it still is weird to have these misaligned.
But it definitely needs a QoL run to improve what doesn't work for now. @baddmoonrizin Could this thread get passed to the devs regarding the bugs of this release so they could be fixed fast, please?

So, I did some testing since Tribble got finally updated to allow testing of this ship and I discovered a few sad and funny things:
-the pets still don't assimilate many ships. I did a Ninth Rule run and and almost had hope the pets got slightly fixed as I got 2 ships getting assimilated for the first 2 groups of ships. Not great, but not completely terrible. Then, I got the ever-spawning, timer-set waves, and in total, for many, many ships destroyed, the pets assimilated exactly ONE ship. And 2 pets were destroyed in the process. So, still worthless pets, and in turn, making the console half-useless as well.
-the funny thing is that the pets aren't ship-exclusive so you can equip them on other ships, presumably to keep the console relevant on other ships. BUT, despite being considered frigates, they aren't limited to full Carriers, so you can equip them on any ship with a hangar, including those that can't normally use frigates. So you get this funny image of ships spawning probes 1/3rd or even half their size, and when they spawn (or even when the hangar activates without spawning new ships because you've reached the limits of pets), your ship also emits a green gas.

It feels like the devs forgot Frigates are for full Carriers only and rushed this out without proper testing or balance. I just hope the devs do not abandoned the Borg pets and move onto the next thing like they did with the Command and Temporal Pets which got released in a broken state and left like that.
Ideally, they could do a fighter-squadron version of the pets visually for use in non-full-carrier ships since the game has some way of telling the full carriers from the rest of the carriers. If there is no way for the hanger to auto-select like that they could always do it by including a box with the fighters in the ship box like they do with the weapons of some ships (but irritatingly not do on others), or just having a free unlock for the base level fighters in the dil store if you have bought the ship.
