Question about Specialization BOFF stations on starships...

I know BOFF's need to be trained for any given specialization. But can they only use that specialization on board
a ship that has that specific specialization BOFF slot available? That seems kind of pointless since any given T6
ship only has one specific slot usually and, if it doesn't match your BOFF's specialization, he can't use those skills.

They can only use the specialisation available on that specific ship. If they were able to use any spec, then what's the point in the huge selection of ships we have?

Thank you. I'm kind of relieved. I was only looking at the Miracle Worker skill "Narrow Sensor Bands" but none of my current ships have that slot available. I LOVE my current ships, so I'll just make do. Thanks again.

Might be worth trying a Miracle Worker ship sometime if you can find one that fits your preferred playstyle.
One thing I do like about MW ships is the extended Slipstream in Sector Space.
