Exploding Mirror Borg Spheres have a weird delay

Also see this thread:
I just played the mission again, to get some additional dilithium for the last time.

The patch notes said they
Resolved an issue that could cause unexpected behavior in detonating Mirror Borg Spheres.

But they're now far more unpredictable. A sphere exploded near a transport ship, nothing happened for a while so we thought it must have been sufficiently far away - and then the transport exploded anyway.

There's a clear delay now that wasn't there before today's maintenance. I've seen it multiple times, things are actually much more difficult to predict than before.

After maintenance on the 12th of October, explosions of Mirror Borg Spheres has become much more unpredictable - even though it was supposed to become less unpredictable. I don't know how or why, things seemed pretty predictable before the changes.

I just finished playing Resistance of SB1 again and the delay is still there. You destroy a Sphere, nothing happens, and then something like 10 seconds later you still take a lot of damage. Even if you've moved well away in the meantime.

It seems that the determination whether you are going to take damage or not is made based on your location the moment the Sphere hit 0% hull or something akin to that. Then nothing happens and, even if you move out of range, something like 10 seconds later 3/4 of your hull gets destroyed.

I don't know what the intented fix was, but I can tell that this isn't working. Despite what the notes said, things have simply become more unpredictable after that patch on October the 12th. My suggestion is to undo whatever changes were made to these Spheres that day.
