I really like some of the different ship interiors, like the Intrepid-class, the Galaxy-class, the Constitution-class (would love to see a TMP/TWoK refit version sometime), and I was wondering how hard would it be to be able to change the alert status, to go from standard to Yellow Alert or Red Alert in them?
Case in point - the Galaxy-class interior for the mission "Into the Nexus" has the Galaxy-class USS Madison status indicators showing full Red Alert (which I absolutely love) complete with the alert klaxon. Can we see this as an optional feature for player-selected ship interiors that can be toggled at will? How challenging would that be to do, if it's even possible?
depending on how the certain things like light probes or decals are programmed it could be a really big deal, I don't recall the alert status ever changing dynamically during missions so it could be something STO currently can't do as swapping alert status would mean making a new interior with said alert status active.

Yes, for episodes like Mindscape where the status changed to Omega it happened "off screen" between map transitions, not as something you watched happen.
If every one of those is a custom copy of a normal bridge, then only a few of the red or omega alert bridges exist, and no yellow alert ones do. So they'd possibly need to fill in the gaps by creating a huge number of new interiors by copying and modifying the existing ones.

How hard? Hard enough that it would require changing elements in LCARS and light panels to accomodate something that isn't there already.....on dozens upon dozens of bridges. This about having the time and manpower to do it, which, we now know, they don't and won't have. Where you have seen it are specially made environments for missions.
And to what effect does this suggestion have.....zip all. The game does not do anything on player bridges bar doff officer stuff and changing ship and banking. It's a, currently, pointless exercise. Sorry.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

More importantly the fact the alert status shift happens "off-screen" in missions suggests that it's not something they could easily do. besides when are we at our bridge during cases where any other condition then green would make sense?
When was the last time they did anything to player bridges at all? I think at this point it's an abandoned feature, getting the axe the next time the game is getting streamlined
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^

They recently added the Tutorial Miranda Bridge, Lexington variant Odyssey Bridge, and K'Tinga Bridge.
So they have added new things. And we still have a couple missions that require you to access your Bridge.

That is correct, I have missed that. The bridges are even available across the board, as opposed to the regular Oddyssey bridge which is not available on other ships. These are the first new bridges in at least a decade or so!

*Looks at Origin Bridge, Klingon Tutorial Bridge, Galaxy Interior, Voyager Interior*
Pretty sure we've had stuff since Legacy of Romulus...

Yeah, six years. I stand corrected again, the ship bridge and interior part of the game is flourishing

In fairness, I remember doffing back in 2012 or 14, when you had to go to each contact one by one on the different decks of your ship. Nifty and immersive the first time or two, an annoying slot after ten or twenty repeats.
The same with painfully traversing 20 map changes to get to memory alpha to do some crafting of some fixed-level non-upgradeable gear.
There's nothing to do inside the ship other than wander around and enjoy the scenery, the interior part of the game is non-existent. Not even story episodes since that isn't your ship.
It might be nice to have some patrols set in your own ship that use your chosen bridge, but until that happens I understand Cryptic mostly ignoring new interiors.

I'm still hoping for canon Sovereign, Connie Refit, and NX Interiors. But we're going to need missions set on those ships to warrant it, just like how we got the Voyager and Galaxy interiors.
