independant wingman trait dont think its working

so i was just messing around with my carrier in romulus system space and just happened to notice non my pets had the trait on them. so i grabbed all my pets...and launched each one and none grabbed the trait except a couple...so thought maybe its cause im not going into a combat system space per say....so i went to badlands battle zone to retest and once again only odd couple gained the trait icon to indicate it was working...i took the pet off and back on again and the trait didnt appear the second time i tried to launch and clicked the first pet and this time no icon appeared so think the trait is bugged out.

i did try on all pets that i own, and wasnt really showing at all on any fighters, only came u on frigate pets.

has anyone else have issue with this trait?

ok so bit more tsting put myself into a red alert status, launched a pet and still the icon is not showing for any pet.

I used to get this a lot on my Fleet Ra'Support Carrier and only that Carrier that I noticed. I could change to other carriers which would work 100% correctly, change back to that carrier and it stopped again. Spent months confirming but never found a solution so I no longer fly that ship.
