The title really says it all. The Mirror Borg spheres' warp core breaches are able to damage and easily destroy hangar pets. This occurs during both the deliberate warp core breach and the normal death breach. Occurs on all Borg space TFO's.
If I'm in a teeny-tiny-widdle-ship, and a much larger one beside me explodes with the most explodey-explosion possible, I'm definitely going to take a huge amount of damage - likely more then my shields and hull can take. Thus, I also experience an explodey explosion.

I agree with the others this isn't a bug. What's killing your fighters is most likely the new Detonate which isn't a "wrap core breach". It's more like a Ramming speed combined with the old self-destruct that players could do until it was removed from the game.
It may not be a bug indeed. But perhaps it is a case of oversight.
Immunity to warp core breaches was given to pets to protect them from blowing up every time a player killed an enemy. I can see why one would think that things aren't working properly when a new ability is added that has exactly that result.
And although they may technically be different abilities, their workings are the same. Player shoots enemy, enemy hits 0 HP, enemy blows up. It was decided at some point that these events shouldn't result in said enemy taking all fighters in the vicinity with them. But that's what is happening again.
Which makes it doubtful that things are working as intended.

All Hangar pets are meant to be immune to warp core breaches of all types as well as immune to single hit kinetic explosions once every 30 seconds.
It seems like pets should be immune to the new Mirror Borg core breach on death.
