Long time sto player with character #30 in progress. Never had any issues with previous toons in completing fek'lhri return>afterlife until today
After killing off the first 3 fleets we are faced with fek'lhri dreadnought and it's entourage. In 5 attempts- 3 of them 48 hrs ago and 2 runs today. this last fek'lhri fleet is killed off but doesn't register as being done. Gameplay battle has ended the same way in 5 attempts- pts with no progressions to next step. There are no other ships in orbit anywhere as I've looked everywhere.
Most of my battle is within the marker which just so happens to be planet side.

Yeah, I've ran into this bug as well. I really don't know what causes it. (maybe killing the dreadnought too quickly or it might be like the Tarantula from Temporal Ambassador that sometimes doesn't register it being killed.)
For me aborting the mission and retrying was the only fix. Luckly for me only had to play through twice. Sorry you've ran into the bug five times.

Well, after several attempts I decided to create another toon and 2 days later afterlife was next to do
Now I am going to try my best in describing that character mission.
As you know you'll face a set number of fleets at first then the final dread. Underlining issue as observed is last 2 arrival appeared from the planet. Now I assumed then we had a rogue NPC fek'lhur ship that's not accounted for.
Quick explanation. Lol With toon A - no progression with dread appearing. Abort, rerun - similar. Abort exit game go back and try again - same as previous. So let's skip ahead to toon B which I created the day before and ran the mission slightly different. Goal was to catch all npc ships in one spot so gw is equipped as always. In order to catch them in a spot I had to move away from planet and flank on left. This worked for some reason and the last drea appeared. After the kill I progressed to planet side.
Now step back to toon A. Unlike "B" that tactic wasn't really used. With "A" I simply plowed ahead and killed everything and gave chase to a fek'lhur breaking away from orbit. After the kill there was one left so turned back. While engaging what I thought was the last fek'lhur out of nowhere was a hidden fek 10 meter from orbit. I was facing the planet and 7 m from a ship I engaged and that other fek'lhur was 10 m from my coordinate.
So completed afterlife with a troubled toon by killing a silent runner!

There is a thread dealing with this for PC here dating back to 2020
