I have characters in a number of different Fleets of both factions. One of the most confusing things in receiving Fleet emails is not knowing which Fleet it is from. There are numerous officers that have email privileges that can and do change all the time given the fluid nature of Fleets, making it near impossible to recognize all the different email sources in the different Fleets.
Any chance we could ask the Dev team to add Fleet tag coding with a shortened version of the Fleet's name to Fleet emails to help know exactly which Fleet the email is coming from?

Or you could just ask your fleet leaders to do that by adding their fleet name to their signature or as a header. It's a far more simpler solution than diverting resources; I highly doubt that many people are in more than 1 fleet nevermind 2 or more.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

You would be surprised how many altaholics there are in this game, and with many characters come many fleets since using too many slots for alts is a disadvantage for fleets.
Also, while you can ask fleet leaders to include the fleet (and Armada if appropriate) names in those emails, chances are they will ignore the request (if they even see it in the first place, I imagine their mailboxes are probably rather busy) not to mention that there are often more than one or two people who do fleet mass-mailings. I have long ago stopped bothering to ask since so few took the suggestion back when I did ask.

Oh, I know there are, but so do I. All my toons are in the same Fed/KDF fleets though except for 1 toon in another KDF fleet, which does already announce in it's mails which fleet it is in As Fleet owner, I always sign off mine mails with the Fleet name, that's why I made this suggestion.

Typing the Fleet tag into the header would require what? An additional two or three seconds?
Do you really want the Devs doing anything else to the email system after the fiasco with having to retrieve purchases from the Exchange from email attachments?
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.

I think the Devs can make it so we can do this.
There's no need for the Dev's to do anything, we can already do it.

Yes, fleet officers could type the name themselves, the problem is that most simply don't bother and that is unlikely to change.
