WTF is up with my Gagarin?

My Gagarin is covered in small red lights & I can't get rid of them, there are just so many... I've tried changing the skin through the ship customizer on the starbase, I've tried every rep shield, played with my graphic settings, talked to a GM and they could not replicate the issue on their end. So is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing this issue? I love the ship, but I can't see past all those red polka dots covering my dorsal and ventral hull, it's become unplayable.

Have you got a vanity shield slotted. If so unslot it. Other shield graphics too. Screen shots will help too, so we can see what you are seeing.

Hi eazzie, thanks for your comment! I never post on forums so I'm still trying to figure this out, but I'll do my best! Ok so my ship pretty much looks like this all the time in varying degrees depending on that vanity shield or skin I use, but the lights are always super obvious. I think my ship has space chicken pox:

Are you sure that's not just... how Gagarin variants look in general? Like if you're getting them regardless of skin or vanity shield, I would think that was just a feature of the ship's general aesthetic, not a bug. Unless you're saying you've had this ship for a while and it absolutely didn't have these lights before...

Here is Zefilms' Fresh Out of Spacedock with the Gagarin, showing the different angles, and it clearly has those lights on the ship.

As @darpendragon has said no bug part of the look of the ship.

/facepalm What a shame! thank you guys for your replies. It's really too bad that you can't get rid of the lights, I can't be the only one who finds them annoying, lol. I with the GM's I spoke to would have saved me the time and just told me that it's the way the ship was designed. They instead told me that they couldn't reproduce it on their end and suggested that I post my issue on the forums.

It's often the case that your fellow players can figure out a solution to most problems. We are the ones that play the game and we know it well because of that.
It's good to know the issue has been 'solved'. (I also do not like the red lights on the Gagarin.)

reduce particle effects to medium (at high all lights are actual lights - i also was surprised they got those on the shenszhou class ^^ its basically your graphic detail setting ^^)
