in the terran mission firewall, when you beam down to the starbase you can see the Starfleet versions of the terran empire enviornmental suits...

shame they went to all that effort to model it and it doesn't seem to get noticed...would be a cool update to the lifetime EV suit tho.

Actually it wasn't wasted. The Terran EV suit IS available in game through the 13th Anniversary Terran Bundle. Likewise the Fed version was in another bundle, that is currently eluding me, but only as a single item rather than account reclaimable like the Terran one.

Fed version is in the Legendary captain's bundle, that also contains the legendary Vesta.

I thought it did... problem was the Wiki doesn't list everything that comes with it.
