Old mission "Assimilation complete" that can't be dropped

I have encountered a lot of veteran players who have this bug. The mission ask you to report to four of ten on the USS Victory. The problem is that it has been removed from the game. The reward is available to claim but the mission can't be completed. After searching the web for solutions I have found a lot of people having the same problem. Most of them just hide the quest but I feel bad knowing it is there and can't be completed ever. I guess the solution is for someone from development team to remove/ complete that quest for every player that still has it. So please forward this report to someone who has access to sto code. I have been playing on and off since the game released and I would really like for my captain to not have that quest anymore.
