Cannot access character.

I recently returned after a few years away. All of my characters but one are accessible.

The one I can't access is appearing as a glow of light in between his crew. When attempting to load him I'm asked if I'd like a normal load or safe load. I've only chosen safe load so far and I'm given a loading screen which doesn't go anywhere. I eventually have to end the process.

I've submitted a ticket but was also asked to post it here.

I suspect that you'll get asked for more information such as:
name@handle
Which Faction
Which Race and Career
Whether this is a tutorial or you have passed it, most tutorials have had a bit of a revamp over the years and all sorts of chaos and mayhem with characters who were parked in an older version.
If passed the tutorial which map the game thinks you are on, not sure how the game would cope with you being on a deleted map.
And probably how many years since you last played.

Clean install or a massive update to the version form years ago, Launching via Arc, Steam and so on.
I'd also chuck in the ticket ref.

Also force verify from the start menu, that has helped in the past.

Just be aware most answering here are players, some of the Devs do look but a single character not working correctly may not be in their wheelhouse.

Ah, sorry, I should have clarified. Yes, all of that information was in my ticket, and it was a brand-new install. I really don't know why the agent asked me to post here too (and requested the link to my post) so I just gave a brief outline.
