Please make Grym on ESD/First City functional during Phoenix Box event

As per title.

He gives out Phoenix Boxes at other places, but even though he is permanently placed at ESD and First City, he doesn't 'function' there during the event. It shouldn't matter where Grym is located, he should still work if we talk to him.

First City and ESD are both script-heavy and highly populated so the devs may not want to add to the load in those places. Also, I suspect that they may be trying to encourage more people to go to Drozanna Station and DS9 instead of all pile up in those faction capital zones. Drozanna particularly needs that attention since the mission string that initially introduced people to it at around level thirty has been removed from the missions tab and placed in a very unreliable and rarely played slot in the ironically misnamed "Available" tab.

Well, if that's the case, they ought to remove Grym entirely from ESD and First City and only have him at Drozana Station and DS9.

If they want to force inconvenience into the game, it should be universal in its application.

Excessive lag in a major hub where new players enter the game as in the first case is also inconvenient, moreso I would think than simply having Grym standing around trying to sell hot gear to new captains on ESD and sometimes running a more legitimate phoenix token distribution operation on Drozanna (maybe he goes there and does that occasionally to knock some of the shadiness off his reputation when Starfleet security starts taking notice of his ESD shenanigans). Sometimes it is just better to not poke the sleeping lag bear unnecessarily.

As for the secondary social hub promotion, I agree that it can be inconvenient cruising out to Drozanna like that, but at least they did cut the inconvenience down a bit by removing the even more annoying trip between Drozanna and DS9 which was apparently the original way it was set up (the having to talk to Grym or Onna, then exit the dialog, then talk to them again is the classic "go fetch this" MMO schtick where one normally sends the player character to the other, just with the "go to" part removed).

On the other hand, in my case it does not matter much since most of my Orions hang out at Drozanna anyway just for the RP sense of it, so I may not be seeing the full amount of inconvenience the situation generates for others who do not have characters stationed there I suppose.

Seriously though, a good two birds with one stone solution would be for the devs to do as so many people have requested and add Drozanna to the basic transwarp destination list.

I think this would be a good idea.

I don't have characters at Drozana. Most players probably don't - also because many players only have one or two characters anyway. And I believe the DS9 Ferengi hasn't been working for this event since the station was rebuilt. Even if he is, I don't really have characters there either (and again; most players don't have those).

I doubt that this would contribute to more lag or longer loading times. Based on the few times I could be bothered to go there for a single Phoenix pack, there were maybe something like 20 or 30 players on Drozana. So probably even fewer outside the Phoenix event.

ESD usually has a dozen or two active instances, each with up to 35 players. That's hundreds of players, even close to one thousand players perhaps who are on the same station at the same time.

10 players not going to Drozana and visiting Grym on ESD instead isn't going to have a major impact.

Besides all that; even if players had to wait something like one or two seconds longer due to increased traffic - then it still saves them a couple of minutes and multiple map transfers because they don't have to go to Drozana just for that one box. Or it saves them an additional character change - which also come with load screens - if they have one character parked there.
