Good idea Cryptic, thats one way to let casual players see just how unbalanced the game has become. Running around in a Legendary Excelsior with 110K hull with evasive, deuterium and EPtE running...a ship the size of a shuttle one shotted me.
"You know when that shark bites, with its teeth dear... scarlet billows start to spread..."
Can you get me a screenshot of the endeavor you're seeing?

Best thing might be to either try ground PvP instead (it can be a little easier) or just skip things you don't like doing. That's what I do

You can just imagine how the Death Star felt, then.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.
I always just do the space pvp and become a moving warp core explosion. You still get credit for the endeavor for being on the losing team. For the ground version I've gotten no credit for losing.
we've let some of the folks know that it's still showing up. thanks for the screenshots gents

Its not all that bad. I actually had fun in the match I was in. I got completely annihilated a few times, but I managed to get a few kills in so all good. You can always not do these endeavors.
Same here! LOL. Inspired by y'all, was just going to fly into the middle of the map, and be killed. Then I figured I might as well get a few shots off. I ended up doing 2nd best dmg, with no deaths. Proud as punch!
Naturally, I realize the others were also just folks trying to get the Endeavor, but allow me to just savor the moment a bit, k?

Same here the PvP endeavour is the one endeavour I looking forward to and enjoy. Would be a massive shame if the devs get rid of it.
If my memory serves me correctly, this Endeavour used to have you win a PvP match, but it was changed to simply participate after we, the players, moaned loudly.
Now, I don't enjoy PvP content in any game - mainly because I'm so rubbish!
However, I'll gladly participate in a PvP match because I don't have to win it.

I skip this endeavor as well. I PVP daily in other games but I've found that inexperienced players that PVP in this game are killed quickly as they are just not set up for it. I'm here for the stories and the lore, not to fight other captains.

I'm not a pvp player but I miss this as an Endeavor. It's a hell of a lot less annoying than complete 3 lukari tfos or (shudder) complete gravity kills... or even deliver 10 prisoners.

Yeah, the pvp one is fine as long as it's only about participating, not winning anything. You can wait all day and fail to get those Lukari TFO's to pop though. I usually ignore or re-roll that one. Gravity Kills is easier in an agile ship, and you...as Kael often bellows..."FETCH THE PARTICLES!" As for prisoners....a bag of 10 dead tribbles on the KDF side is less hassle than two prisoners at a time for Feds.
Even if it's just participation, I'm averse to pvp.
I think it's often a tradition for a mmorpg pvper(singling these out) to shove in how much better he is than you (even if his build would suck in pve compared to your own). Because they are always unable to read the room with no exception that I've ever seen throughout my entire life, I avoid pvp like the plague. Last person I met who was a pvper was no exception. In fact I think mmorpg pvpers are worst than every other genre. Even my nephew who had every vice of a COD player had more humility(not a high bar, he had all the worst traits of a COD player and I kinda hated to see it in person).
Josh Strife Hayes had a brilliant video about pvp in mmorpgs being rotten to the core, STO, well, not any different.
Thinking of ideas from lots of games for, dunno how long now.
Used to enjoy pvp years ago but I quickly grew to hate it after awhile. Couple toxic incidents in WoW arenas and in the general world itself among other things. Now I avoid pvp like the plague and if pvp were to disappear from STO, well I wouldn't miss it. Far as I'm concerned imo most modern pvp brings out the worst in people, but that's another topic for another day.

I've always stated that I don't hate PvP, but I do like PvPer as often I found to be toxic people and sometimes outright cowards only willing to attack people who had no way of defending themselves (this is general that is not just in STO).
My play style gravitates towards team support so i usually queue up when the PVP endeavor pops simply to make those premade hunter teams work for their kills.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

That's what some of the notes of a Ten Forward thread said a couple of weeks ago or so.

Yep, and it's currently running (for another day).
