Have you tried turning off your Xbox One and then turning it back on? Is anyone else having the issue?

I Have had issues since last server down time. Very erratic connection to servers when playing. Can take a lot of attempts to log on for me and when I do I get in the network lag is crazy and have to wait for game to catch up if it does not disconnect from server. Have reset Xbox/Router cleared cache on console turned of firewalls tried wireless and wired connection but to no avail. Have been told this happens to UK based players. Am hoping this improves on next update as it makes it very unplayable.

I'm a UK player and this just isn't and rarely ever happens to me. It could be an IP conflict, issue on your line, weather related, ISP related, Interconnection related, etc., etc. I'd put my money on your supplier's anti-DDOS settings, especially Virgin.

I agree. Friend is on Virgin and does not have the same issues as me at this point, he is based near London where I am in Yorkshire. I had a full 4 days with no issues before server maintenance though.

I'm also a UK player (in Derbyshire) using BT broadband and haven't had any problems logging in and rarely with any lag lately. With all the troubleshooting solutions you've attempted it does sound more like an ISP related issue. Which Xbox machine are you using?

I am on series X. When it was working for for the 4 days consistently it was installed on external HD drive. Now on the internal SSD drive which i thought might improve the loading times.

I have it on the internal drive on my SS. It'll improve load time, but only to a point. When the game is under high load, there will be a delay whilst the server creates new instances or is communicating with the account server etc.

You might want to check your NAT type under Network settings on your Xbox. If it's not Open, then that could be an issue. Run the NAT test to see if it's a false-positive, otherwise, just reset the router.

Next to that, you might want to check your line. Mine tends to crackle every winter, so I dread the freezing rain...lol.

Well, I was hoping the update would improve my loads but unfortunately not so. Think it is some thing to do with the virgin home hub 3.0 in some way. will try various other things but think I have exhausted everything I can do.
