Klingon Ice Fishing - Unable to activate Gauntlet

I know I must be doing something wrong. I am attempting to do the Learning to Ice Fish mission. I accept the mission, grab the Gauntlet, and equip the gauntlet.

The next step is to go over to the indicated area (light piece of ice with fish shadows), however, the weapon activation icon remains greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

Try switching your active weapon first, the gauntlet uses a weapon slot.

As mentioned, it needs to be your active "weapon", and you need to be in the designated area. The gauntlet will not be functional otherwise.

If this problem persists, let me know, I can pass it along to some bug hunters for investigation. Also please indicate which platform this is on too.

Ultimately figured it out. Even though the weapon was equipped, when swapped over to make it active, it was not actually changing the abilities in my tray from the other weapon. I went into my Abilities window and manually dragged the Norg Batleh baq! abilities to the weapon tray and they were usable.

Thank you for your assistance! At the very least your ideas sent me down a rabbit hole I had not previously considered.
