Unable To Donate Basic Raw Materials

Have found that you are no longer able to donate Basic Raw Materials in the Science Project Ongoing Research Projects found under the Starbase Projects for the fleet holding. Select the materials in the left-hand pane and hit Contribute and nothing happens no increase in Fleet Credits with the attendant sound, nothing. Have tried all rarities of materials, tried to donate 1 to 144 and it fails to add them.
The right hand pane displays the New DOFF Total Contribution panel and does not populate with anything and the Progress towards project goal remains unfilled with the For this Contribution you will earn: showing 0 Fleet Credits + Boost.
Guess this is due to this screen begin the only other to have a rarity and it tries treat the materials as DOFFs
